What if the Dolphins medical guy does NOT red flag Drew Brees shoulder MRI

  • Brees goes to Miami
  • Saban never leaves
  • Alabama dynasty never happens
  • and the Saints leave NOLA

Only problem I see with that is Brees and Payton >> Brees and saban. Payton had as much to do with Brees taking off as Brees did.

Think about this from 2010....

- Cam Newton's dad gets his $180,000 deal
- Cam comes to MSU and we win a national championship instead of Auburn
- OM goes on a crusade to find out anything and everything about MSU
- We get caught, lose the title, and get the death penalty
- I still get to say we won it and die a happy man

I'd have a local football team to cheer for

There are actually a decent number of Saints fans here due to the one year they played here

And Alabama hires Croom
we get relieved of the 2007 and 2008 seasons
and 3-2 never happens

Same year Anthony Johnson (?) doesn't get a pic 6 against Alabama. Then Croom does not go to the liberty bowl and get a contract extension.

Very interesting

I'm a dolphins fan and that decision has haunted the franchise since. We went with Dante Cullpepper's injured knee over Brees' injured shoulder. The story of the 2 franchises since is history. The Dolphins finally appear to be decent 8 years later while the Saints have had a ton if success.

Now from my MSU fandom perspective, Saban has made life on us very difficult in the West. If Alabama was still struggling, we could have seen some unprecedented success with Mullen.

Wonder if the guy who made that call in Miami still works in the NFL? He made a major impact on my college and pro fandoms.

I'm with you. Vacating titles is such a worthless concept. If I watched the game, rang my cowbell, and threw my whiskey and coke in victory. We won the ******* title. I don't care what revisionist history might say.
