in 2010, our athletic budget will be $42 million assuming that we do not increase it anymore from the $32 million for 2008. In 2005, it was in the mid 20's. So let's assume we increase it a little more. In 5 years, the budget would have doubled. Amazing. Thanks SEC.

it will separate State from the other BCS conferences that much more though. We will still be low on the SEC totem pole.

As you said, when your athletic budget doubles over a few years it is far more substantial compared to other SEC schools how might be seeing a paltry 10% increase. I dare say this deal means far more to the MSU's of the SEC than it does the UF's.

I'd hate to see women's soccer or some **** get the money that football and basketball are bringing in.

And yes, I was too lazy to read the details about the ESPN deal.
