Huggins specialty is taking that one guy away, in this case Buddy. WVU has 4 hot three point shooters. And several guys capable of making good passes from the top of the key.
I could be wrong but WVU sure seems like a nightmare matchup for Syracuse

Defensively this team is unlike other Huggs teams, so relying on that to take away their best player is unlikely. As locust has said the 2-3 has given us trouble in the past, but we've also rarely had more than 2 shooters on the floor at any given time in the past as well. I see 'Cuse trying to stop Culver to start thus daring us to consistently find the open shooter AND knock the shot down.

Attack the zone will open up the 3 point line and the mid range jumpers from the high post.
The center of the zone is soft and often it is hard for teams to get good rebounding position out of it. We may get some 2nd shots today. They rely on athleticism and length to rebound. Their offense will certainly be more used vs our man than our offense vs their zone. We just don’t see zones that much. Still, teams have beaten them this year so it should be an interesting contrast of styles. I hope we can turn them over and run on em.Attack the zone will open up the 3 point line and the mid range jumpers from the high post.
