They were my team. Everybody else were Laker or Celtic fans, so I wanted to be different. It's so funny that I liked a team that was completely opposite of the way I played.

I didn't love the Pistons, but I didn't despise them the way other fans did. I liked the way their worked their butts off, they earned everything they got.

Something I didn't know before- Michael Jordan credits the Pistons for giving the Bulls the mental toughness they needed to win 6 championships in the 1990's.

You going against the sheep? No way. I won't believe that.

Next thing you know, you'll be telling everyone that you didn't want to hang out at Delchamps with a bunch of posers and instead sequestered yourself to a gravel pit in the woods near a rifle range. #NotBelievable

/good times were had by all at that damn range except the night the klan guy showed up

I liked them. I miss the old NBA where men were men and fouls were fouls. Would Monta Ellis or Stephan Curry drive to the lane if guys like Bill Lambeer and Charles Oakley were still patrolling the paint?

Nowadays, players are coming straight out of high school. Back then, it was a man's game.

Being a Bulls fan from birth, I did know this. That Pistons team taught Jordan that he could not win a championship by himself and the value of playing hard defense.

I hated them but respected them completely.
