That's one big difference. Very few, if any, Ole Miss fans will claim Brewer got a raw deal. He was cheating his butt off, and most of us will admit it. You'll be hard pressed to find any MSU fans that will admit that Sherrill was anything but squeaky clean.
Also, Sherrill's career record was 75-75-2, including a forfeit win over Bama in 1993, so technically his on field record was 74-76-2 at MSU. And I really don't think you can disregard his final years when talking about his career. We had an NCAA cloud over our heads at the end of the Brewer era, and he still managed to win some games in those final years before being fired for getting us put on a crippling probation.
