As a said earlier, no AD in their right mind makes a call based upon such criteria. It's not about one game. I'm not advocating keeping or firing Stans, just that we won't be fired over one game.BogeyGolfer said:

No matter how many times you look up the brackets on-line and pray that there are no upsets, Stansbury is out, and we will be in the NIT. And toansweryour question...If you were aware of how collegeathleticswork, you would know that there are many sourcessurroundinga program other than the AD.

Which did your source specifically say? Did he say that Stans must win or that he may have to win? Is one of those instances you inferring what your source said or are both of them his words?
I am missing nothing. You stated a definite firing as claimed by your source in the original post. When called on it you changed your tune to a possible firing. Did you call your source back to get more info after posting? The truth of the matter is that no one will believe what you are trying to tell us when the story changes that significantly.

How will anyone know if your source was wrong or not when the thing he told you was that we "may" have to win one in the tourney for Rick to keep his job? By stating that he "may" have to win one, it implies that it could go either way and that he doesn't know anything definitive. So, if we lost in the first round and he gets fired you can run around saying "I was right." If he doesn't get fired after losing in the first round you can run around saying "My source was right because he only said there was a chance that it would happen."
