Hello everyone! How has everyone been?
lmao it took you long enough to appear. Well, it's off to a meeting.Hello everyone! How has everyone been?
Only thing that can stop them is some type of regulation from the state and/or school systems that can regulate transfers. Probably won't happen though because too much money is now involved.Hough is already being talked about as this year’s championship winner. Some of y’all might want to get comfortable with that prediction or do you think someone is stopping them?
I agree, transfers have definitely changed the game. Until the state or school systems step in with regulations, programs like Hough will continue to benefit. But championships aren’t won on paper. The real question is whether another team has the talent and coaching to knock them off.Only thing that can stop them is some type of regulation from the state and/or school systems that can regulate transfers. Nah, 8A isnt strong enough, the only team that would come remotely close is Chambers, and Hough is probably a 3+ TD favorite against them.I agree, transfers have definitely changed the game. Hough is ranked No. 1 statewide, but Chambers is No. 7, Weddington No. 2, and Grimsley No. 4. I believe 6 classes would definitely spark debate.Nah, 8A isnt strong enough, the only team that would come remotely close is Chambers, and Hough is probably a 3+ TD favorite against them.
The only other teams that come close are Weddington and Grimsley.. and they are 7A.
NCHSAA needs to do another realignment with only 6 classes.
We do have too many classifications but what the state needs to do is to have a fair playoff system. Playoff for private schools, all of them, a playoff for public schools that let athletes play that do not require them to live within a schools district lines, and another playoff for schools that require athletes to live within the school district lines. Problem solved.Nah, 8A isnt strong enough, the only team that would come remotely close is Chambers, and Hough is probably a 3+ TD favorite against them.

having different playoff brackets based on if the school has transfers or not will never happen. We do have too many classifications but what the state needs to do is to have a fair playoff system. I just can't see anyone thinking this is fair. I do not blame Hough or any other school for using their local rules to be as good as they can but the rules are not the same across the state. A few years back Hoggard had a student that played football his freshman year. The county had him districted at Hoggard. Upon farther review the county said that he acutely lives in NH district and made him leave Hoggard and go to NH. The county could have said, well that's our bad, and you have already started at this school and made friends and started playing with this program so we will let you stay. This isn't your fault. No, they uprooted him and made him start over. Compare that to what other schools are allowing with transfers. I would just like to see some consistency.
I agree. It's crazy. Eight classifications are too many, and it takes away from the excitement of high school football. When you have entire brackets with only a handful of legitimate contenders, something needs to change. Fewer classifications would create better matchups, tougher competition, and playoffs that fans actually look forward to watching. The gates would make great money8 Classifications are too many. NC should have 5 maybe 6 at most. This would eliminate split conferences and allow for a great playoff bracket in each classification. 8A is a freaking joke and will be for years. In the East you might have 3 teams worth a damn. 3 teams for the entire eastern half of the bracket thats just stupid. Schools like Richmond, Pinecrest , may never be all that again and Raleigh continues to build new schools and push talent to Millbrook and Rolesville(by the way you are welcome Rolesville). Even with the classification split back in the day you had much better playoffs than this crap. Hell you have schools that have 2200 kids in the school with 32 football players(Corinth Holders) in 8 A out east. What a freaking joke. I mean how many teams in 8A have a winning record??????
I agree, but that would make it more of a fair playoff system.having different playoff brackets based on if the school has transfers or not will never happen.
