From the 9-3 crazies at the first of the year to the fire Stoops and Barnhart lunatics now. One thing about UK fans is they have no patience. Which is somewhat understandable. Won't let things play out. It's the basketball fan mentality being applied to football.

UK was predicted as anywhere between 5-7 or 7-5 team. Well, they are going to be right in that range. Have the last 5 weeks sucked? Yes. Could the staff do a better job coaching? Hell yes! Could the players play better? Yes. Young team with a inexperienced staff. It isn't real fun but it can be expected. They've regressed. If you're reasonable and have any common sense, you wait until year 5 and then see where the program is. Calling for Stoops to be fired is stupid, because it ain't happening. Calling for players to transfer is stupid. Both are counterproductive for the program and recruiting. Fan support is a major reason that was cited by recruits we have gotten as to why they chose UK, so don't give me the recruits don't read or pay attention to message board line.

Right now sucks. Nobody like to lose but there are 2 more games left and if they win 2 they are in a bowl in year 3 of a rebuild from the ashes up. Watch or don't watch. That's up to you. If you hate it so bad, don't turn it on your TV but don't spout off insane stuff for the sake of bitching.

Kentucky fans get tired of being called impatient. What a crock of @#$%. We've been waiting since the Bear left, and we're damn tired of it. Enough is enough, we want results!
At the beginning of the season where did you think this team would be W-L wise after 10 games? Did you have them beating Mizzou or SC?

Opinions like the OP's are tiresome.

It's always the fans' fault. Shame on you for voicing your opinions on a FORUM. The coaches just need more time. Blah, blah, blah. It's like telling Cubs fans that they just don't understand baseball and their not good enough fans.

You appear to be an internet know-it-all that chose to come to a message board filled with passionate, embarrassed, frustrated fans that just watched their team perform as a national joke. Congratulations..

And I'm the craziest of all, I thought UK could actually have a successful football program.

I had us 6-6 on the year, beating Carolina, and the other gold and black school. Instead we look hapless against superior competition. I think the expectation was that we improve as a cohesive unit, not regress, as the season progresses. See: Razorbacks, Arkansas; Commodores,Vanderbilt; Gators; Florida; Volunteers, Tennessee for reference on how a new staff should show progress.

Just curious.
What has happened in the last 6 weeks that makes you think there is any remote chance UK could win out?

Blows me away how some people just try to look at numbers and nothing else.

It's not just the record. Use your eyes. Look at how they're playing. Look at the almost unbelievable amount of comical coaching errors this staff makes. IN THEIR THIRD SEASON!. Look at the shocking lack of player development at every position on the team.

With the improved recruiting, the ridiculous number of bowl games nowadays, having eight home games, there is no excuse for missing a bowl game in their third season. If that happens.

After losing to a terrible Vanderbilt team, no. As awful as the State, Tennessee, Georgia showings were, we've been conditioned to excuse them. There is no excuse for losing yesterday. None. That one is on the staff. We have gotten worse each week. This isn't a player problem.

At the beginning of the year I really thought we would not struggle to beat ULL. And in my wildest dreams didn't think it would take a FREAKING miracle to beat EKU. Thought we would beat Vandy, Mizzu, So Carolina and if we could beat one of Florida and Auburn at home we could be 7-5 or 8-4. Remember we were a couple plays away from 7-5 last year and we were suppose to be better this year with a better schedule. But maybe as a fan and especially a UK football fan I should expect 3-9 and anything above that call the people that runs this thing Overacheivers.

I wanted to see a clear improvement over last year and a core of young SEC talent emerge. Expected them to compete every game. Hasn't happened.

OP, the issue isn't nearly as simple as W-L. I had us at 5-5 right now, so we are only a game off my prediction. However, I had some caveats in there. I said for recruiting to continue to succeed, a bowl game was necessary. For me personally I said I could tolerate 5-7 again so long as we were competitive in the losses. In more than half the losses, so far, we have not been competitive. Worse yet, we look poorly coached, not just over matched. This season will cost us dearly in recruiting and fan support. I will stick with my prediction that Stoops is now a lame duck. He may not be gone after next season but I believe this recruiting and fan support will have evaporated. Yesterday was a prime example. We didn't lose because Vandy had better players. We lost because they are better coached and made fewer mistakes. I like Stoops and wanted so badly for this to work, but it hasn't and I no longer believe it will.

Each week is a different week with different opponents. What did Arkansas fans think when they got beat by Toledo?
One, Toledo is pretty good. Two, Arkansas has competed in every freaking game!

^This. A much more succinct version of what I've been trying to say. We're not even asking for unreasonable things. 6 wins and to not look like buffoons in the 6 losses...is that too much?

The OP apparently has a hard time observing trends, coaching blunders and directional momentum(downward). I knew at UT in Joker's second year sitting at Neyland when the moron punted on the UT 37, down 10 with 7 minutes to go. I knew he needed to go. Stoops running a 4th and 1 just before halftime when it's blown up in his face the same way against Miss St and Tennessee, was all I needed to see. He will be fired at UK. The only variable is time. I refuse to give anymore of my hard earned money on this dumpster fire of a coaching staff. Side note: must be nice to get paid over 3 million for this product. Highway robbery and Mitch is responsible.

Again, if you're dumb enough to go for it on 4th and 1 at the 50 late in the second quarter and only down 4, why in the world do you call that play down the sideline? Unreal...yet expected from this staff.

No you are ABSOLUTELY WRONG OP. They aren't insane they are sick of losing in FB for the last 60 years. I like the part about where you say fans have no patience. Were you there in the 60s, or most of the 70s or even the 80s, and oh yes the 90s, or lets see almost all of the 2000's. Lost our patience? Are you serious? I personally have been there since the 50s. Truth is you might have me in particular pegged perfectly. I am impatient at this point.

Arkansas is 6-4 (4-2) with wins over LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. Razorbacks HC knows how to coach his team to perform better throughout a season.

My expectation in year 1 was 3-9, he disappointed and went 2-10.

In year 2 I thought 5-7 was good enough and it would have been had we not lost the final 6 games, that was a major disappointment and when I started to realize Stoops has a hard time coaching them up.

This year I wanted 7 wins which won't happen now and when you add in the fact that the players look like they are giving up and the coaches look like complete idiots on the sideline, you have a program that is in a downward spiral. Stoops won't get fired this year, or even next, but I just hope the damage done over the next 2 years won't be to much for the next coach to overcome.

Like I have said, next year we see the same ineptness, I'll be right there questioning. Stoops and Dawson are new to each other and haven't been on the same page. He needs to sit down with him and get an understanding. He needs to hire a special teams coordinator in the off season. He needs to look at some position coaches (Schlarman for one) to see if a change needs to be made. I am not close to being happy about the last few games or this season for that matter. I get mad like everybody else but Stoops isn't getting fired after this season and shouldn't be. I think he will get next year to prove it and then if he doesn't, his fault. That being said if they can pull out the next two games and go to a bowl game, all will be forgiven by the fans. You are only as good as your last game and right now we suck. We pull out the UL game and we are national champs.

Asking yourself easy questions is weak. Firing Mitch sends a message. You honor the contract with Stoops but you also put him on notice that he won't be around any longer than necessary. Frankly your entire post is a straw man. I don't see many people calling for players to transfer.
