From the 9-3 crazies at the first of the year to the fire Stoops and Barnhart lunatics now. One thing about UK fans is they have no patience. Which is somewhat understandable. Won't let things play out. It's the basketball fan mentality being applied to football.

UK was predicted as anywhere between 5-7 or 7-5 team. Well, they are going to be right in that range. Have the last 5 weeks sucked? Yes. Could the staff do a better job coaching? Hell yes! Could the players play better? Yes. Young team with a inexperienced staff. It isn't real fun but it can be expected. They've regressed. If you're reasonable and have any common sense, you wait until year 5 and then see where the program is. Calling for Stoops to be fired is stupid, because it ain't happening. Calling for players to transfer is stupid. Both are counterproductive for the program and recruiting. Fan support is a major reason that was cited by recruits we have gotten as to why they chose UK, so don't give me the recruits don't read or pay attention to message board line.

Right now sucks. Nobody like to lose but there are 2 more games left and if they win 2 they are in a bowl in year 3 of a rebuild from the ashes up. Watch or don't watch. That's up to you. If you hate it so bad, don't turn it on your TV but don't spout off insane stuff for the sake of bitching.

People wouldn't be so angry if weren't being completely DOMINATED by struggling SEC teams. There is no excuse for getting blown out by UT and UGA. We are an awful team.

You cannot lose to Vandy and UL in year 3. NO. That is unacceptable.

Did I mention going to OT vs EKU?

Disagree. The gimmicky stuff helped sell this program to recruits. KY is not Bama and has no tradition to sell. That said, as I said in my previous rant the marketing BS is not going to sell a lot of recruits or fans on this mess anymore. Gimmicks can work at UK if done right and presently the results on the field has killed any chance of it continuing to work. The type of recruits KY must have to win in this conference are wanting to see results and the shiny helmets and all are not going to keep them interested as much now. Oregon has been a national power using gimmicks, but they won a lot of games in the process and ultimately that is the main thing that matters.

This program is soft, disorganized, and lacks any identity. That comes down to the coaching staff who have failed to put these players in positions to win. There are several teams right now winning a lot of games with much less talent and are beating teams KY would have no shot at beating. The excuses are over with me. Nobody is expecting this program to win an SEC title anytime soon but we damn sure expect to see a team that has players who are getting better and a well managed/organized staff that does not fall apart in each game they compete in.

Is it too much for me to ask that we not get completely blown out by struggling SEC teams like UGA and UT? Is it too much for me to ask that we dominate a team like EKU at home?

Is that really too much for me to ask?

But part of Oregon's tradition is their "gimmicky" Duck uniforms. You can't use the logic that "we aren't Alabama" then prop up the position that we can somehow be Oregon. With Oregon they didn't win big until Phil Knight Pumped millions into their programs.

Like I said, it's not about Alabama or anyone else. I'm making a point that we don't carry ourselves with pride and we don't look like SEC winners. It's about acting like you are part of SEC football tradition. We look like idiots, and btw, recruits don't commit on stupid gimmicky uniforms. If they did, Joker would still be here, and Harris would be our running back. This mindset is exactly the problem we have. You think the uniforms have helped, and theres plenty of evidence to show they don't at all.

We need to examine our place and start acting like we are what we want to be. We need to do some sacrificing. Being Gimmicky hasn't helped UK in the least. It hasn't helped UT either.

Um, no. I want them to win the SEC and a National Championship. I understand where the program is and where it can go. I understand things don't happen overnight in football. I've never said that Stoops is blameless but calling for him to be fired is pointless. I want him to be a better coach. People can improve in their jobs. It happens. We all can rant and rave and disagree all we want but at the end of the day Stoops will be given more time, if he doesn't improve he will be let go. I think that he understands that. I don't think that he is some guy just sitting back not trying and laughing about collecting big checks.

You will never see UK even come close to a national championship with your mindset I'm sorry.

Some of you are going to have to accept it. You either are OK with the minimum and/or bad results, or you aren't. Enough.

May have been posted earlier in this thread, but OP needs to be reminded that a definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Like I have said, next year we see the same ineptness, I'll be right there questioning. Stoops and Dawson are new to each other and haven't been on the same page. He needs to sit down with him and get an understanding. He needs to hire a special teams coordinator in the off season. He needs to look at some position coaches (Schlarman for one) to see if a change needs to be made. I am not close to being happy about the last few games or this season for that matter. I get mad like everybody else but Stoops isn't getting fired after this season and shouldn't be. I think he will get next year to prove it and then if he doesn't, his fault. That being said if they can pull out the next two games and go to a bowl game, all will be forgiven by the fans. You are only as good as your last game and right now we suck. We pull out the UL game and we are national champs.

He will not get fired unless he goes Gillispie, without the fan boycott, Joker would still be the coach. Besides the coaching positions you mentioned, he needs to bring in somebody that can manage a football game, he is a disaster

Kentucky fans get tired of being called impatient. What a crock of @#$%. We've been waiting since the Bear left, and we're damn tired of it. Enough is enough, we want results!

Yeah, 65 years of misery can certainly be called impatient.

I am not as sure that firing Stoops is the solution as some are. I am not saying they are wrong.

I do believe a complete staff overhaul is in order. I want so badly to believe in coach Stoops but is really hard right now with the product we are seeing on the field. I think UK fans are just tired of the same old mediocre product.

Mediocre would look good right now

And you see why I catch so much grief - I realize it quicker than most. And I catch grief for pointing that out too. I can't help it if I'm right, and I hate being right about our coach sucking.

And they can. Just have to give it more than 3 recruiting cycles.

Obviously much of the responses that you asked for has gone completely over your head!!! It's not that we have lost 6 games, but

That could not have been stated any more accurately!
When long suffering fans voice their frustations with what they are witnessing with each game, its not because they want the coaching staff to fail, but a desire to see a cohesive staff & one that demonstrates that they have the moxy to devise a sound game plan & scheming ability to adjust to game conditions!!!

Year three expecting a bowl game against a favorable schedule is not insane. What's insane is giving 3-5 years to every guy who walks in that door. It wouldn't happen if our AD would hire the right guy. Rich brooks was not the right guy nor have the other two. Barnhart had a chance to hire sean Payton my god he cannot evaluate a football coach to save his life.
