I think it's more that there is only one way to say we're 5-0
and there isn't anything about any of our performances that let's you say, "[blank] is the area where we are exceptional that is going to give us a chance against anybody." Really the only other thing you can other than 5-0 is that Mullen has improved our talent and coaching to the point that we can try to get things out games other than the W, such as getting young players experience, working on weaknesses, and saving portions of the playbook for better opponents.. Even against weak talent, I don't think I've ever seen a state team get to do that.
On the other hand, with the young players getting experience and the team playing a little flat, there is a lot to nitpick. Had we come out and put a foot on UK's throat, people would feel better, but other than the idiots claiming we're going to lose to UT (a team with plenty of their own issues), I don't think most people are upset. I think it's just easier to come up question marks.
Also, there is just the fact that we don't know how good we are because of our competition. I for one am anxious to find out how good we are against UT.
