This board is going to be absolutely unbearable the next 7 weeks...

We could win 8 to 10 games and people will still ***** and complain. Yes, we have our issues. Yes, our competition hasn't been the best. YES, we have look lethargic in all of our games with the exception of Auburn. But Jesus... all of these doomsday prediction threads are getting out of hand. We're 5-0. Stop looking for the next opportunity to say when we'll finally lose. That **** does not make you look any better as a supposed fan.

I don't know how the LSU fans made it through the week.

I think what happens is that when our team wins, the message boards see in influx in traffic. This influx in traffic is generally the joe-blow, non-informed sports fan... who doesn't really understand how difficult it is to win on the road in the SEC. They think because we're good, that we should beat a UK team 56-7.

/End theory rant

I agree. You can find problems with our game today but to go ahead and chalk up next week as a loss with us being 5-0 and dominated every game except one (Troy) is well.....idiotic.

And let's think about it - it was 27-7 with 10 min left in the 3rd quarter. We were killing them but just for some reason, we never completely finish a team off.

i think if we had put up one more score at 34-14, there would be very little bitching if any at all.

I think it's more that there is only one way to say we're 5-0

and there isn't anything about any of our performances that let's you say, "[blank] is the area where we are exceptional that is going to give us a chance against anybody." Really the only other thing you can other than 5-0 is that Mullen has improved our talent and coaching to the point that we can try to get things out games other than the W, such as getting young players experience, working on weaknesses, and saving portions of the playbook for better opponents.. Even against weak talent, I don't think I've ever seen a state team get to do that.

On the other hand, with the young players getting experience and the team playing a little flat, there is a lot to nitpick. Had we come out and put a foot on UK's throat, people would feel better, but other than the idiots claiming we're going to lose to UT (a team with plenty of their own issues), I don't think most people are upset. I think it's just easier to come up question marks.

Also, there is just the fact that we don't know how good we are because of our competition. I for one am anxious to find out how good we are against UT.

I'm in the same boat

I would like to see us add some more scores late rather than- "oh, we're on the five yard line with a minute left, let's start taking knees." and more creative play calling against inferior opponents rather than just doing enough to beat them like South Alabama.

I don't think holding everything back is all that necessary. It might not be a bad idea to run some more plays and see how we execute them.

I mean, that was an ideal time to work on our two minute offense at the goal line. Something we might need to work on considering our last second losses in past year with LSU and Auburn.

Those 6-6 and 7-5 predictions are looking less likely.

Losing Internet cred is too painful for some.

The rest just won't be happy till we lose and they can wrap themselves in the woe is us blanket again.

It definitely was not a perfect game but we didn't need one. I also saw a much better team effort than our last game.

10 tackles for loss

Solid game for Taylor and Bumphis

almost perfect kicking game

Def line played great

Isn't this the same UK team that nearly beat #5 last week? Let's keep things in perspective. I'm not wooly either, but sheesh.

They didn't nearly beat South Carolina. They got outscored 31-0 in the 2nd half to lose 38-17

I get to witness our team sitting at 5-0. Sure, they have been lulling us all to sleep intensity-wise, but it has been some damn good sleep.

My desire to see us blow out anyone else this season ended with USA. W's from here on out are fine no matter how it happens.
