Yeah, for some to say that it's not an important part of our life is disingenuous and shows me they do not get it. It was a part of me and my family from my earliest memories and it is part of us. No it's not more important of many things in life, but it's a fun and important part of our life.

It's mind blowing to me. I get it. Sports aren't important to some people; I'm not a huge sports guy. But I like UK, the Titans, and my Braves. I follow those and that's about it. It's supposed to be fun; to be a distraction form the "ho-hum" of daily life.

Some people have a Coke product collections, some people like operas (well, I do too); we have UK Basketball

Dips? You mean youre disappointed im not up till 4am fighting all night about how we should fire Stoops or Cal after a loss.
You win some, you lose some. I like discussing UK but a good portion of you are too irrational and plain bat chit crazy.

Life is full of surprises, both good and bad. People choose many things they use as a 'get-away" from all the BS and grind of dealing with other people, their job, family issues, politics, just life in general.
If you choose to have a few beers each night, puff on a joint, take your doctor prescribed pills, watch your favorite TV series, what ever it is to get you in a relaxing mood, so be it.

If someone wants to be a fan of UK, or any other school they follow, it is their life, their business and not for anyone to question it.
No, it is you OP that needs to find something to do.

No the 4 am I will agree is much, but some on here like to ghost and when the complaints are actually right and have been for a extended period, the group I’m talking about doesn’t say anything at all. And then they come back acting all high and mighty when Kentucky does something good for one game. A good portion of us aren’t bat **** crazy, we just expect Kentucky basketball to be better than what is currently being shown on the court, and we get scrutinized for that.

Or, let's shame ppl for not jumping off the cliff after every loss.

IMO...everyone defines their own fandom. For me, the loss to the UNC women's team ruined nearly my entire weekend. But, after a 24-hour cooldown period, I am able to see that the season isn't over and the team has an opportunity to learn and get better. Who knows what happens in the future? Do we get the team that played Miami or the team the played the UNC women's team?

It also doesn't help there's a week between games right now. You take an L and you have to marinate in it for 168 hours or so.

After a loss theres no civilized debates, its cut throat and fighting all night. Its best to walk away and let the animals run the zoo till the dust settles.

After all, the fighting and attacking solves nothing. Sitting up all night bashing the coach isn't going to change the way we played, recruit, or hire. Mitch and Cal aren't reading this page.

It might not but people have a right to vent. The fighting happens because one side has the “ straw man arguments” and tries to shame people for valid complaints. And our side may shame for the people taking let it play out approach. The answer is probably in the middle, and that would make discourse here better

I dont care what you discuss, but im not one of the ones up all night fighting after every loss with the nut cases that we need a new coach. Ive been following this board since BCG, and there hasn't been one season that you guys haven't gone bat chit crazy and called for Cal's removal after a loss, even in 2012.

Venting and going full chit house angry are 2 different things. This page doesn't vent after a loss in either sport....its cut throat and angry, not rational. No civil discussion. Thats why i keep a distance till the alcoholics and idiots burn themselves out after a loss.
Fighting all night solves nothing. You're not changing anyones mind.

Maybe, a lot of the stuff said are valid points and concerns. The saying calipari has burners to brining political crap up is to far. But saying the last 4 years have been bad and Kentucky basketball isn’t in a good spot right now are true statements

It would be different than the usual. I’m now interested to see who he likes. I’m guessing UL or Arkansas, but could be the typical Duke fan from Atlanta Georgia or Missouri, even Indiana or Texas. Maybe a Duke fan from overseas or something.

He should just out himself.
