Ever since I had a wife and kids I have wanted to take them to an upper tier bowl game(Gator or better). My wife grew up a UT fan. When we got married she became a UK fan for me. No questions asked. She watches each week. All the heartache she shares it with me/for me.

Always hoped but never thought the day would come. For me, this is just happiness.

What is your story?

You're a lucky man to have a wife convert from a UT fan to a UK fan. Way back before I got married I went on a date with a girl that went to IU, which I didn't know until we went out that night. You could rub two ice cubes together and generate more heat than we did that night; needless to say that was our one and only date. She must be pretty special.

My wife is a Louisiana native and a big LSU fan. She has grown to like UK unless they are playing LSU, and I'm ok with that. In turn, I've come to like LSU more than I used to except of course when they play UK. I'm hoping for LSU to put a beat down on the Cards in the Citrus Bowl.

I didn't start following UK football until I was in the Marine Corps and stationed in California from 99 to 2003

Everyone there were football nuts and I guess I just started following them because they were something that connected me with back home. First game I watched, they blasted Louisville, who were favorites, and I was hooked.

Finances and distance have made it difficult to be at more than one game a year, but I resolved that the next time we went bowling, I was going.

So I am going.

Born and raised in Louisiana. Moved around a bunch, but Kentucky is a special place but so is Louisiana but not LSU. Go Cats

Lake Charles my man, at least that's what my birth certificate says :americanflag:

About ten years ago give or take, i spent a month in Deridder to help a high school buddy stationed at Fort Polk get his place back in order after hurricane Rita. Nice enough area, but jeez Louise the heat is miserable. At 9am it was around 90degrees with well over 90% humidity, and it only got worse as the day went on. I don't know how y'all live there permanently.

That's why I guess I always want it as hot as it can be, hate cold 88 and DCF :cheers2:
