Reed in math, Gassaway/Irwin in EE, Varnon in Prin. Acctg. All were good in there own way. Guess I'd go with Dennis Irwin who is now at Ohio U I think.

..Flick and Carskadon too but they've already been mentioned.

Favorite professor that I had for only one class & that I made a C: the late Jay Keehley.

He was so quiet and dry, but that man had a great sense of humor. And was just a really good guy.

Graef (sp) was a real character. Fun guy, interesting, and by far the best math prof I have seen anywhere. Really good at math, and more importantly really good at teaching. He could read your thought process and show you where you need to change your thinking to understand the material.

That guy was awesome. And I, like you, got a C. When I took his class, it was the only one on campus that started at 7am.

Just a great teacher, really likes what he does and it shows. I looked forward to going to his class. Had a very unique way of teaching, I think we only had one test a semester but he made you put what he taught to work and graded you on it. Interviewing and Small Group.Ext ext....<div>
</div><div>I liked Glenn Young also. He was a good teacher who also enjoyed what he did. Would rip into the football players after every loss, which in those days was frequent.</div><div>
</div><div>Cecelia Cook was a great teacher. Took her forBusinessLaw. Was very fair and I learned a lot in there.</div>

I 2nd Dr. Pearson. I had him for 8 or 10 classes. He was great. #2 would be Dr. Estes in the Horticulture department.

Slam 2 beers down as quick as you can, then drink a 3rd one slowly. You still won't be able to solve the problem, but you won't care any more.

Hank was not only a good teacher, but he really was just a genuinely good guy. Most of the time he would try to make everyone laugh (and was very successful at it) but if you really payed attention he would also teach you a few important life lessons. Hank is the only teacher that I would just stop by his office just to chat with, even now when I am back in Starkville I try to catch up with him. I still have people tell me that he reads my excuse note every day on the first day of class...I consider Hank to be a good friend of mine.

...I took 20 hours that semester so I could graduate on schedule after changing my major (I didn't know it at the time obviously but by doing this, it meant that President Bush would be my graduation speaker). Anyway, my schedule called for consecutive classes/periods at McCain at 8, Giles at 9:30 (Keehley's class), and McComas (known as the CAC at the time) at 11. I was extremely happy to have earned a 2.85 GPA that semester.

Not that he was a barrell of laughs or even that funny, just had very interesting classes....mostly history and junk. This was back in late 80's.

Quick search shows it was Stanley Godbold.
