i loved that we went from talking about geography of russia to watching the movie "Downfall" in his class. i laughed really hard when we made it to the popular spoof seen with hitler. I love his take on recycling though and then he goes into his spill on putting beer in plastic is the last straw. "when it's Miller Time at Miller's house, it's gonna be from a glass bottle"

He was a great teacher and you could tell he genuinely wanted people to learn his craft. Took kinesiology under him. He reminded be of Mr Rogers in a way.
His success is pretty evident- most of my class is from MSU. Most of the 3rd year class was from MSU. An overwhelming majority in both, IMO. At UMC, which surprisingly does not have many of its own students there. <div>
</div><div>Of course, it's not JUST because of him, but he's the guy that does a lot of the leg work talking to schools, keeping us on the ball about applications, making sure we have every resource available. When I was there, he was trying to get us a cadaver lab.</div><div>
</div><div>Obviously, I really like the guy, but he never gets his credit. He is outstanding.</div>

I just wanted to see how many engineers remembered this guy's technical writing class.

I'll say one thing for him, I made an F and then a C the second time in his class and I ran into him over 20 years later and he called me by name. How did that son of a ***** remember my name, I was transparent!

The first day of class and he goes around the room and everyone stands up and says their name and where they were from? (He did this in mine anyway). Well anyway, whatever town someone said they were from, even the tiny little towns throughout the state, he had some sort of true story about it. Like all the factual old wise tales about every town that was called out. Even some out of state. And it wasn't likehe was blowing smoke. The student from whichever town always knew exactly what he was talking about. That impressed the hell out of me.

Cecilia Cook... Business law... Top notch... Fun, informative, not overly challenging and got me out of two speeding tickets while in school so I at the very least owe her this post.

Taught 11 years at State. Graded on a curve despite the whining from the lower half of the curve. Took another opportunity in Silicon Valley but gave back (more than $150k)to State later in life.

Friend took Rundell, got a 48 on a test, earned a B and went crazy. My friend graduated with a 3.4 in civil engineering

was Physics I under Rundel and I remember the first thing he said was that he had 100 points on the scale and he planned to use them all.

Great teacher, and he was there to be an advisor to anyone. If you didn't like your kinesiology advisor, he would take you on no matter how many students he was already advising. And he worked hard for his students. UMC definitely gets more State people in the PT program than Ole Miss.

Your favorite professor is your favorite because he gave you a grade you didn't deserve. Good guy or not, he should not be rewarded for that BS.
