The pitch was outside of a catcher lined up outside and wasn't even framed, but caught outside of his shoulder. Its hard to imagine anyone missing a call that badly. The batter couldn't have reached it.

To make it worse, the first strike was almost as bad.

Well at least we got the "let's blame the ump" for another loss theme going for us.

I think we managed 7 hits and 1 run in 18 innings against LSU pitching, 3 of which were freshmen tonight, with our senior/junior laden line up.

Makes it look more like last year was a fluke similar to Polk II's 2007 run in the tourney to get to OMAHA.

Maybe we will make another miraculous run this year. We have only lost 12 games to date this year. I mean we did lose 21 games last year.**
