I, for one, am so glad Bob got his Interwebs turned back on. Frontier's bunker service must be vastly improved, kudos to them!

And why should it be outlawed and what should we have in its place? For Muslim judges to take an oath on Bible? Forbid Muslim judges? Or what?
If they do not take the oath to defend the constitution on the Bible""""THEY DO NOT SERVE""" We are not a Muslim country and it won't be long before they will cry for sharia law. They are pushing for it now. There is no Democracy with this bunch. I say again

LMAO!!!!!! You are literally too stupid to figure out what is wrong with your statement. Please go read up on the First Amendment to the US Constitution....and stop watching Fox, it has damaged you.

Public servants don't even have to say "so help me God" when they take their oath of office, if they object. They are permitted to say "I do promise". I know that just blows your mind.

I actually agree with that last part of your post but that's not the point. Everybody in the US is supposed to take their oaths on the Bible? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of an oath? If you're Christian then taking an oath on a Bible matters because you're swearing on what to you is a holy book. But if you're not Christian then what's the point of taking an oath on a Christian holy book?

I would prefer a Muslim take an oath on a Qu'ran because it means they'll take their oath more seriously than if they took it on a Bible.

For a long time, I thought it was an act ... now I'm filled with dread with the thought that it isn't.

Swearing on a Bible or any other book to do your job is meaningless. Just another act that divides.

What is in the oath? A couple times there was something about "defend and protect..... the Constitution. Qu'ran and Sharia Law go together. You cannot uphold the Constitution and Sharia Law - or how can you?

We aren't a Christian nation either. [thumbsup] We have no official religion. Ban the Bible on swearing in, too.

Funny how the Christian persecuted always want to remake America like Iran and Saudi Arabia.
