Funny how Sankey doesn't have issue with this. Florida and Golden getting the conference darling treatment. Somehow Aberdeen knew it would be in his best interest to enter the portal despite exhausting his eligibility. 🤔

100% he was shopping himself while the season was going on, no later than NCAA tournament. Wasn't he rumored to be one of the issues?

Well, he should be granted the same injunctive relief that others are getting. I don’t know what he knew or suspected. It seemed he was searching for another year based upon the fact he played so little in his first. He probably also knew the NCAA was planning the 5 for 5 rule.

My take from the way outside was he was not a great leader and that his personality did not translate to all of his teammates. Just my gut. I think Lowe was the better glue and Aberdeen would have been better in a role rather than at point. If you asked me who I would want back more, I would say Chandler, even though I think DA the more polished all-round player.

Agreed! And, look, I get that he technically “entered” the portal in sufficient time. HOWEVER, that rule should absolutely NOT apply to players that THOUGHT they had exhausted all their college eligibility! End.of.story.

It’s always been harder for Kentucky to have rulings made in their favor because other SEC teams always throw a fit if a ruling benefits Kentucky. Then similar rulings allowing other teams to have rulings in their favor seem to happen at times. The rulings are not only bitched about by other teams, but by the leadership of the SEC too when Kentucky is involved. Kentucky seems to be held to a different standard.
