He is a complete waste ofbandwidth. He has completely useless thoughtsthat are totally misinformed.<div>
</div><div>I can take some of this, but when he compares each team's top 5 players from Mississippi, I almost laughed out loud. How can this guy say that Nickoe Whitley is one of our best players when he hasn't even taken a snap yet? I think he will be a good player for us, but give me a break moron. Besides that, he also left out perhaps the best player on our team (and yes he's from Mississippi) in All-SEC left tackle Derek Sherrod. Completely bias bull ****.</div><div>

It's pretty much Red Cup's agenda to post a weekly article about Dan Mullen.

No big whoop there.</p>

Seriously, has anybody on the sixpack even stepped up to say they expect Favre to start for us during his career? Or have they just said he has been impressive early on in Fall camp?

Just like most of the stuff on Red Cup isn't meant to be literal. Unbelievable.

Dan Mullen uses his region-centric rhetoric in an attempt to fire up those who, like me, have protective emotions about this state that we cannot fully rationalize.

One might not be able to stylistically emulate William Faulkner or James Joyce, but this dude just out Shmuleyed Shmuley.

I think his post is dumb and misinformed too.... and he's a great friend of mine and co-wrier. I didn't get a chance to read over that article before it published, but when I read it, I laughed as well. I think you could make an argument that our five best players from MS are better than your five best, but it's probably easier to make the opposite argument. And yeah... our blog sucks. Stay away.

I appreciate that. Also, as long as I'm over here, sorry for all of our douchey fans.
You mean your douchey fans like your douchey fan who wrote that article?

Somehow I don't see that guy appreciating somebody apologizing for him on a Miss. State board.

He obviously stacked the deck in his favor to win that argument. What a tool.... Where is Charles Mitchell? Banks? Sherrod? Green? White? etc...

before he leaves but it possibly will be a DB. He is a gritty, tough kid who will knock your head off. But what do I know? Probablly nothing.

good guy. I'm just saying that if you want to assemble a serious, factual argument, at least make an attempt to get your **** straight. I mean this might be the most misleading article I've ever read. If your friend wants to put something on the internet that's fine with me, but don't come bitching to me when I call him out on his bull ****. I'm just as entitled to my opinion as he is to his own... and my opinion is that his opinion blows. I'm glad that you at least agree with me about that.<div>

look at the Safety position on our team and chooses a rFR in Nikoe Whitley and say he is better than Charles Mitchell, a JR who has played since day 1 of being on campus???

I love it.

Not saying the following applies to Whitley...

Just because a player hasnt played a down or stepped onto the court yet, doesnt mean they cant be the best player on the team. That would be absurd to exclude any new players from being able to be the best player on the team.
Wesley Johnson at 'Cuse was the best player on the team before they ever played their first game last season. I could sit here and list a hundred more examples.

Again, not saying this applies to Whitley.

Year in, year out, you can find the quality equating to Mississippi's Dandy dozen in the secondone hundred top players from the state of Florida, with the exception of maybe one or two. When Mullen came to Mississippi State, I thought for sure he'd work Florida a lot harder. Did Urban tell him to stay out?<div>
</div><div>No way will either Ms school ever win on a regular basis without recruiting out-of-state as well as within. Not with three D1 schools competing among one another. </div>

Yeah, he picked two of our five best players from Mississippi, and then picked a 5-man group from Ole Miss that is pretty bad and tried to build them up.

Bradley Sowell is awful. Bumphis is already far better than Markeith Summers. Brown and Walker have been roughly average, and we didn't even go after Powe.

And while Whitley can't be placed in our top 5 now, I can almost guarantee he will by the end of the year and no one will be honestly trying to compare him with any safety from Ole Miss. He's going to be dirty.

There are 187 players from Florida in the NFL and 49 from Mississippi. Fact is, in the last 2 bigtime matchups between Mississippi and Florida high school teams, the Mississippi team won both times. You give me my pick of MS high school players and let me take 100 FL players out of consideration for you and I'll beat you by 3 TDs every time.
