This is at odds with the $15MM we spent on this roster narrative.

Yeah I have no idea if those numbers are accurate. But if we DID spend $15million, Tx spent 2x that.

I thought Ole Miss was spending bank?
Based on those numbers, Mississippi & Vanderbilt are getting most bang for their buck. Texas & LSU getting least. Followed by Auburn & Georgia.

Whenever anyone throws around NIL it reminds me of this skit. General Washington if the players are getting NiL money how much money is each team spending?
Nobody knows

Wasn’t the $15 millón number just something Charles Huff threw out at a postgame press conference? He wouldn’t have any inside knowledge. He was just excusing the L he took.

Can someone explain to me why there is no transparency in the NIL.
No disclosed balance sheet, just give and don’t ask questions.

Point of order…..Every SEC team is spending at least $15 million on their roster, because that’s around the number allocated to football in the revenue share agreement.

What is implied by the graphic is that the numbers represent the 3rd Party / NIL money only. If the chart was accurate, MSU’s total roster investment of cash would be over $20 million, and that is before scholarships and other benefits are accounted for. Texas would be checking in at around $34 million.

I thought the revenue sharing hadn’t started yet?

There is really zero motivation for State (or really any schools) to give accurate numbers on what is actually spent on the football team. If they give a number that is perceived too high, people will use it against them. If they give a number that is perceived to be low, people will use it against them.

This graphic is what each school has chosen to let out as their public perception number. In other words, very close to totally meaningless.
