EVERYONE NEEDS TO CALM THE 17 DOWN!!! Just because some unnamed source claims to know something makes it true right? Don't let this **** ruin a good season. We need Sid regardless of what all u think or say. And Sid really needs msu fans teammates and coaches.

I'm sure we'll be the reason the rest of the season is good or bad

But we do play a roll and can have an impact on our players. Do you think its fair for our fans to attack Sid like they have over this bull **** unnamed source article. I mean jumped and stomped on him basically. Why should Sid give a **** if his own fans that are supposed to root for him are bashing him like you nameless bitches here? Sure he has brought much of this on himself from his past actions. But big man has shown flashes and hasn't been a problem w the team and seems to have accepted his lesser role in stride. Who knows if this reputable news agency has printed a baseless garbage article. But the bottom line, Sid is a Bulldog. Support his *** even if you don't like him. And for goodness sakes don't come hide on a message board and post stupid **** that could hurt us even in the least little way. Flame away but I wont nothing but the best for Sid Bost Moultrie Hood and all the rest. Hell y'all are even bashing Deville and he's in the 17ing hospital with issues none of us truly knows. What kind of ******** fans do this? Freaking ridiculous

I'd like to see Sid's message board asassains stand up to the public ridicule they subject him to. They wouldn't be man enough to sleep easy though it. I'm damn sure of that point. Not to mention that Sidney is a key member of our team who has affected our won-loss record for the better. But keep taking your pop shots at him. Hate is a treasure to nourish. Idiot.

Anonymnity is part of the board. Get over it. I don't see your full name, picture, and occupation at the end of your posts and nor do I want to because frankly, your thoughts and comments along with who you are mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things (just like everyone else posting here). You are taking this **** WAY too seriously.

You have worked hard this year and gotten our team off to a really good start at 17-5 and ranked in the top 25 after starting the year unranked. You have beaten West Virginia, Vandy, Alabama, Arizona, and Texas A&M with the easier part of the schedule coming up. You have publicly done nothing wrong this year.<div>
</div><div>Your reward: a bunch of you own fans trash you on a message board that a **** ton of athletes and students read over an article that is most likely a load of BS. Where is the report from Marcello and Locke on this if it has any validity at all? And don't give me the "its just a message board" line because how many times have comments on here gotten to Stricklin/Byrne's ears? It has an impact.</div>

say this about Renardo Sidney in print or to his face. I just think it's ridiculous that we call ourselves State fans, yet we don't support our players or coaches worth a ****. Most of these posters sound like grumpy old nameless bitches really. Should we be able to complain about coaching decisions or strategies? Bet your ***. Should we be able to complain about a players performance and work ethic? Sure. But to take it to the limits that Renardo Sidney has had to deal with it taking it way too far. Just like this article shows. There is nothing coming from any MSU beat writer about this. There is nothing but an unnamed source that this douch from the Sporting News used for his less than print worthy article saying that Renardo won't be back next season and the unnamed bitches on here and genespage running with it like it's a FACT and posting awful things about a young man that has been through more in his 21 years than most any other student athlete in history(and again, yes I know heis accountable for a bunch of it along with his father moving him to CA)

Does Sid frustrate me on the court? Yes Does Sid have things and issues he needs to work on? Yes, but don't we all. But does this mean that the fans that are supposed to support MSU have the right to basically slander his name in everyway imaginable? These unnamed bitches are like the bully and punks at elementary school, calling names and insults that can damage a young person's mindsetand help shape who they become as adults. I have been to every SEC home game this season, and yes I've yelled at Sidney to work harder and get his big butt moving! I've also yelled at our players to get him the ball more because good things mostly happen when he has it on the block. If this team is going to make any noise whatsoever this season, the fact of the matter is that Renardo Sidney will be a big part in how far we go. Dee is the floor leader, Moultrie is the main focus, but Sidney is just as key to our success. All of you saying that we don't need him either don't know **** about basketball or your hatred for Sidney is blinding you of the obvious. Last post on this. I probably should've never posted this at all to even give it any attention that it doesn't deserve. If he comes back or doesn't next season is irrelevant to this season. Don't worry about this until after the season. And I hope this dies quickly and has no ill affect on this years team.

He will never live up to all the hype and his potential, but he is a part of the team and better than Lewis and there is no one else to put on the floor at the 5 spot...

I don't necessarily disagree with what you are saying but calling someone a ***** b/c they are anonymously posting it had to be called out when you are signing your posts with whosyourdawgy.

taken at face value. The players know that people talk good and bad on message boards, twitter feeds, facebook, and in the stands. The bad is usually much worse than someone would ever say if they were in person. The players know this too. How many people on campus, in town, at a game, etc.do you think have walked up to Sidney and told him that he is lazy and sucks? I'd bet ZERO. The enormous difference between how they are treated in reality and online is the main reason that I say the impact of what is said on a message board is minimal. Otherwise, we would have lost how many players and coaches over the last decade just from SPS alone.

Things like misspelled words, butt taste in cups, etc. have much more of a chance of being changed because of a message board.

One more example: We ***** about Stans having a revolving door with players transferring. How many have stated that one of the reasons was our fans were badmouthing them? I can't think of one.

/edit to add: I also agree that it is about time to give Sidney a break. That wasn't my point in the original post. I just find itironic when someone starts a thread typing in all caps with multiple exclamation points tells the rest of us to calm down. He takes the interwebs too seriously.

..why is it fair to sit through a whole basketball game & listen to Jimmy Dykes bash Sidney to probably a million people, but we can't bash Sidney on this isolated messageboard to a thousand people?

Please explain to me how this is "normal." And why does Jimmy Dykes still draw a paycheck from ESPN after he spends a hour and a half ripping Sidney a new *******?

In the past, I never ripped Sidney. I was going to lay back & give the big guy the benefit of the doubt.

But now that Sidney has f'ed up & shown what he is really capable of doing, I will not longer stand for his refusal to block out, refusal to remain under the goal on defense & his refusal to run the court with the rest of his club.

So if that is now off limits to mention here, dawgstudent needs to pin a warning to the top of this messageboard.

Everything you say there is true. He doesn't block his man out like he should, doesnt' run down the court as fast as he should, and stay where we need him in the paint. That is all true statements about his game. You didn't go into personally attacking him and degrading him. Critisism will always be a big part of message boards. Flat out humiliating and degrading one of our players is another. I don't have an issue at all with anything you posted just then. But taking that too far and getting personal with it is where some line should be drawn. If a player isn't doing what they are supposed to be doing from a qb to a center, that's gonna be posted. Just don't do what we do to Sid.
