I'm surprised that the Houston Astros didn't come up with this first, to be honest with you.

Until I read the paragraph below the video, I thought he was singing, "YOU ..... WILL ..... SUUUUCCCCKKKKK!!!!!"

Listen and see if it doesn't sound like that to you. Now THAT would be hilarious.

every home game last year... ? It's awful.

And if you've ever been to Minute Maid for a game and had to sit through "Deep in the Heart of Texas".... you'll feel like throwing up.

Texas is awfully proud of their state.... I competed at a city-wide event and prior to the event we had to say the Texas pledge of allegiance... not the US pledge or the national anthem though... those aren't important in these parts.

I have not. The only reason I plan on going to Minute Maid Park is so that I can cross it off of my list where I achieve my life long goal of visiting every MLB stadium in America.

Fortunately, living in Jackson I can make it a weekend trip.

Minute maid is very, very unique... When you come, visit the bar across the street called The Bus... owned by an MSU grad. Nice place to pre-game...

Here's my list I've been too so far
Old Busch Stadium
New Busch Stadium
Kauffman (in KC)
Mile High Stadium (first year rockies played here)
Minute Maid
Ballpark in Arlington
Turner Field
Camden Yards
Comiskey Park
Wrigley Field
County Stadium (old Milwaukee spot)
Old Tiger Stadium
Comerica Park (new tigers stadium)
Skydome
Cinergy Field (used to be known as Riverfront, where Reds played before their current park was built)
Three Rivers Stadium (before the current PNC park in Pittsburgh)
Fenway
Old Yankee Stadium
Shea Stadium
Veterans Stadium (old Phillies field)
Jacobs Field

Next year, I get the idolized 3 weeks of vacation instead of the current two... I plan on trying to catch my Cardinals on the west coast atleast once, if not twice...

Busch Stadium- I know shocking. I actually gave people directions IN downtown St. Louis. And they were accurate. That's bad if you DON'T live somewhere. Unless it's New Orleans.

Safeco Field- UMC OT school psychiatric rotation. Didn't learn a darn thing, but it was awesome. Got to see the Mariners a lot though. When I got back to Mississippi, they asked me what I learned, and I had a really hard time BSing it.

Turner Field- I have a good friend who has family in Atlanta. Location makes it cheap and convenient.

The New Yankee Stadium- Choir Mission Trip. I don't think I brought anyone to Christ, but I got to shoot off a kabuki launcher and see Derek Jeter.

Citi Field- I saw Paul McCartney perform there. I can't really claim it because I did not see a game there. Kind of like the airport rule. If you don't actually leave the airport, it doesn't count as having "been to" a place.

This summer- The Uncle Mark tour where I go to St. Louis again and then head West to lovely Kansas City- the Paris of the Midwest- not sure if that's a compliment or not.

Old ballparks- Busch Stadium II, and the Astrodome. It felt like I was ten miles from the action.

Other cool stadiums- Portland Oregon- old stadium where Ted Williams once played. Allegedly. Saw Carlos Silva get kicked out of a game here.

just changed over to baseball?

Deep in the Heart is actually kinda comical. You have to just laugh it off and go with it.

Enron is a good place to watch baseball. The sightlines are great from anywhere in the stadium. Good call on a few drinks at the BUS before the game. And Todd - if you're planning on driving, let me suggest going to Shreveport and hitting 59 to Houston (take 79 to cut off the corner). I-10 across Louisiana SUCKS, and it's about the same time either way.

to have been born in a family in which the dad was a baseball fanatic... and he had 3 boys... all of whom succeeded at baseball to some point... (one college player, one all-state high school player, and one 3 year HS lettermen).

Our summer vacations generally centered around going to a few different stadiums... We did Camden Yards, Veterans Stadium, Shea Stadium, and Yankee Stadium one trip... We did Cinergy Field, Three Rivers Stadium, Cooperstown, and Fenway in another trip.... We did Kaufman stadium on the way to Colorado were we went to Mile High (and up to Yellowstone, Black Hills)... We did one were we saw Wrigley, Comiskey, Milwaukee, and Jacobs Field.... We did another were we saw two Cards-Cubs game at Wrigley... and then drove to visit family in Detroit (saw Ichiro when he was a rookie).

Hopefully I'll be able to get to all the West Coast venues, as well as DC and the Florida parks.... Looking at spring training next year... anyone have any advice for that?
