the kind where you don't really know what's a foul. Their guards are allowed to mug and bully our guards on the perimeter but then they come back and call something really ticky tack next time down.

If you're going to call it, fine. Just call it every time. Players can adjust to that. But players can't adjust when a mugging doesn't get a whistle but a hand-check does.

...and I know what's a foul and what isn't to these guys. They're going to let the teams body all day, but if you handcheck or go over the back, it's going to be a foul.

...and they're calling it that way. Look, I think the refs have blown some calls....like the three Stewart just tried that they didn't call the foul on, but I still think they're consistent...they're letting body contact go. Their starting center and their guard who was mugging Beckham earlier are both on the bench with two fouls, too, so it's not like they're completely swallowing their whistles.

There's a difference between being physical and allowing physical play and raping the ball handler every possession. Thankfully, it's calmed way down since Brockman and Overton got 2 fouls.

I forgot to say before the game that Washington turns the game into controlled chaos. This is really normal actually, including the opponents message boards getting upset about our defensive style. We play the 6th fastest pace in the country, ahead of even North Carolina, and when you play that fast, crazy stuff happens.
