If this is true then Disney really has some explaining to do. Hopefully it’s BS.

Odd.

- He was on TV on Saturday(which I know is before today and this tweet) so I wonder what happened between then and now.
- What reasoning/justification would they have for removing on of his content over the last decade? That seems unprecedented. I cant think of a time when they have removed a decade's worth of content for anyone.
- Is Disney concerned about giving inappropriate screen time to someone due to a possible election run?...that seems far fetched, but its the only thing I can come up with.
- If you dont follow Clay Travis, your life is cleaner and happier. You still end up hearing about the legit stuff pretty quickly, and you largely avoid the cesspool of crap he wades in on a daily basis.

Paul was on the SEC Network, but has not been on the ESPN shows where he normally makes appearances.

Clay Travis is primarily a pawn for the right because he makes $ by allowing it. ESPN is more biased than Clay and clearly sidelines anyone that speaks conservative. ESPN does not have complete control of SEC Network programming. All three of these things are TRUE.

There might be some truth to this or at least there was at one time. If you remember when Arnold ran for the Governor of CA his movies were all over TV on Sunday afternoon. The networks had to pull his movies because they were required to allow equal airtime for all political candidates. If they show a two hour Arnold movie they have to offer the same amount of airtime to all candidates.

So if Paul officially runs for public office and keep him on the air they have to offer his opponents the same amount of airtime.

Stephen A Smith isn’t running for anything
Neither is Finebaum. But both have said they are considering running. Finebaum for Senate as a Republican and Smith for President as a Democrat. It appears that Finebaum may have been pulled from a couple of main ESPN network shows he's a regular on on Sunday. But apparently not from the smaller ESPN family networks.

But I thought Finebaum announced his candidacy?

But Finebaum isnt either. He is considering it.
And Smith talked about runninf in the past, i think.

Regardless, I humbly request that ESPN find a reason to pull Smith off the air and remove the last decade of his commentary too.
Good news, we might get both Smith and Finebaum off the air for the next 6 years or so. Bad news, they might be our President and a Senator.

ESPN doesn’t have control of the SEC network? I mean, I admittedly don’t know the details of how that “network” is set up, but it is shocking to find out ESPN doesn’t have control of what she seems like on ESPN product.
That is wild.

ESPN says Finebaum will be on First Take tomorrow morning, so I guess we will find out then if he has been banned.

Paul should find a way out of appearing just to fan the flanes.

If ESPN did indeed do this it would be a PR nightmare unlike anything in recent memory. The bud light thing would pale in comparison. Plus pawl could sue them into Bolivia.
I'm strangely on ESPN's side here... once you begin using the position provided to you by a network (especially one devoted to sports entertainment) to promote your political aspirations, you shouldn't work there.

As far as Pawl being able to sue ESPN?.. who knows.. maybe there is language in those type contracts that preclude an employee from discussing political affiliations and whether they are or are not running for office.

I think that only applies to ABC, since it's the only over the air station they have (or at least that might show sports to my knowledge). I also think that showing pre-existing movies would not count against coverage. That was probably partly to avoid a headache and partly because Arnold was running as a republican. That's a semi (or maybe quarter or eighth) educated guess though.

Finebaum said he would leave ESPN if he decided to run for Senate. So it doesn’t make any sense for ESPN to suspend or fire him before then. If he decides to run, then he will leave. If he doesn’t decide to run, then it’s business as usual.

So now ESPN is saying Finebaum was scheduled tomorrow for Wake Up or whatever it’s called. Of course Clay Travis says that it’s made up last minute to cover everything up. Just take the L that you were wrong.

That's why I don't think it's true: It doesn't make sense. Just perusing a few articles, it seems he did have some ESPN appearances canceled this weekend, but ESPN says those were normal programming changes and had nothing to do with politics.

If it's true - I'm not surprised at all, but I think the real reason was that he talked about ESPN not allowing him to go to Washington to some sort of Trump activity. I believe his interesting in running for the Senate is secondary. The left-leaning network found out he was sort of right-leaning.

I never watched his program more than a few minutes at a time, but firing him for that reason would be irregular.

SEC Network is a partnership between ESPN & the SEC. It is not totally Disney owned.

It was a Trump interview they would not allow him to do after they always allowed Obama to do bits for March Madness and other interviews.

ESPN says this is totally false, but the story seems to have taken on a life of its own.
gotta feed the daily need for outrage from somewhere. The good news is most of them won't even realize the feeding is lacking in nutrition. There will be some other thing to outrage about tomorrow. Real, fabricated, or imagined...
