We lost to a team that finished the season at .500 by beating WVU. Dumb coaching decisions are dumb in the BE or B-12. That's what lost the the game. Coaching.
So, a "good" team is a team that is 6-6? Dang, we've come a long way!
We didn't need excuses when we were in the Big East. That is the biggest difference...
Un-freaking-believable. This sounds like the logic Marshall fans were using to thump their chests in the late 90's. We lost to an average team that had clear flaws. WVU proved it had what it took to win this game, but both players (WR drops, muffed punts) and coaching staff (running a gimpy QB in crucial situations, continuing to kick to a guy that had shred your coverage team on two previous kicks) erred enough to lose. KSU is not a good team, WVU is not a good team and WVU is not positioning itself to be any better in the coming seasons. If the goal is not to compete for a Big XII title at least every now and then, what the hell is the point? Not saying WVU has a better option at this time, but I think the evidence is mounting that our current coaching staff isn't likely to EVER compete for a Big XII title.
When we where in the big east we put together teams that where able to beat A Sec Champion and a Big 12 champion now we can't even beat a 6-6 team from the big 12
But we are becoming just a polished as Marshall fans, at making excuses...
