We are watching our country change at a dramatic rate. And while most people are trying to advance/stop socialism, corporatism is taking over, and its not a good outlook.

Mississippi is going to face immense pressure in the next few years because of some of our laws. Will the NCAA pull postseason baseball from Starkville and Oxford if Mississippi doesnt change its transgender law?

With Amazon and Google coming in, how long will it be before they threaten to leave and have 5,000 workers jobless if we don't change the voter ID requirements?

How Georgia handles this is very important to our country's future. Sounds like the Georgia GOP is saying if you are going to boycott us, we might as well get a transgender sports ban, concealed carry and some other things on the books.

I am a conservative leaning moderate. I admire the Democrats ability to stick together - you hardly ever see Dems not vote with each other on anything. But their glaring weakness is how short sighted they are. The House is already drafting legislation to remove Major League Baseball's antitrust exception. At some point, the GOP will have power again.

Amazon and google just invested a lot. They aren’t going to lose ROI due to the woke crowd.

Honestly Mississippi probably stands to lose the least.

We’ve been chastised for years. Now others are taking the beating for a change. Maybe everyone will start to wake up.

The problem is that the GOP has spent the last generation driving away educated individuals. The people running, and investing, in these large companies are generally highly educated. When you combine that with liberal voters being more valuable than conservatives, it makes for an an easy target.

Republicans voters are uniting around these identity politics issues, but it’s driving away everyone else. You guys are the alcoholic who can’t decide if their first drink is the best or worst part of the day.

I'm drinking beer , grilling burgers and listening to Bulldog Baseball on the radio. Don't care what Georgia does.

Come on that is a terrible take. There are plenty of educated republicans voters and plenty of republicans voters that run large companies.

I typically vote republican and I will agree that they should have backed away from stuff like gay marriage. But I don’t know how anyone who cares about girl sports wouldn’t be on board with the laws passed around people born men playing women sports.

Liberal voters are more valuable than conservative? Please elaborate. I thought everyone got to vote ONCE. Try not to make yourself a bigger fool than you already have. This thought process, or lack of it, is why no one with half a brain gives a **** what you left wing idiots think, except to use that information to avoid and/or defeat you.

InB4, but I think some of you are really ignorant with regard to the level of support traditionally left leaning voting blocs like African-Americans and Latinos support the sports bills put forward by the GOP. But I am a less valuable voter, so what do I know?

57strat is a total goober but he’s kinda right. MLB knows that conservative voters won’t boycott them and cause trouble. Liberal idiots will absolutely do that

Well i do agree with that. Typically, conservatives seem to move on quicker whereas democrats will boycott something for life.

Because a lot of people think fines / incarceration for players and coaches are wildly disproportionate penalties for a competitive advantage in meaningless high school sports. Its simply something that should be handled by the MHSAA / MAIS (or even the individual schools) for competitive balance side of it. State and federal government really have no business making it literally illegal. It’s something that conservatives would call classic government overreach if it wasn’t an initiative they were championing.

Don't you know there are stereotypes that are actually true? You know... Southerners are backward rednecks. Liberals have all the mental giants. Conservatives are all knuckle-draggers. Whites are all privileged supremacists that oppress people of color. People of color are all oppressed and need white liberals to save them. Republicans are all rich and Democrats are all poor unless they're actors.

If you need help any Leftist will be glad to educate your stupid ***.

This crap about the Georgia voter bill is a bunch of crap with none other than your President lying through his teeth about it. His home state has NO early voting and you must have a valid reason to request an absentee ballot. In Georgia 17 days of early voting and the bill increased the hours for early voting. Georgia has a no excuse for absentee ballot all YOU have to do is request it. Does not allow ballot harvesting and nor should it. You have to show a photo ID to adopt a 17ing pet in this country but nobody wants you to show an ID to vote. Have to show an UD for jury duty, rent a car, rent a hotel room, buy alcohol, buy tobacco products and a list far exceeding 30 items. Oh to get food stamps, welfare, Medicaid and social security all require guess what a 17ing photo ID.

I don’t know about the problem, but one problem is mental midgets trying to associate themselves with others because it makes them feel like they share in their accomplishments. So if you are a nobody nothing, you tell yourself that you vote like highly educated, more valuable voters. Doesn’t matter that you haven’t accomplished anything personally and nobody cares what you think. You’re ‘just like’ those highly educated and accomplished people because you vote like them.

Correct. Liberal leaning demographics are going to be more valuable to most corporations than conservatives ones. Some of that relates to age. The younger a consumer is, the higher their value, usually through retention, tends to be. How do you think that GA Voting law, or state’s refusing to acknowledge same-sex marriage, polls in the 18-34 demographic?

Unfortunately, the ‘long game’ favors liberal demographics too. We can all agree that fewer educated individuals are voting for conservatives these days. That is driving expected lifetime income rates higher among liberal consumers.

Also, appealing to urban consumers is more beneficial than appealing to rural ones. Some of that relates to market saturation rates. You simply get more bang for your buck in the cities today with regards to advertising than outside of them. Consumer trends almost always start in urban areas are trickle out. If you wanted to sell shoes in Tennessee you would start your marketing campaigns in Memphis and Nashville, not in the rural counties.

The MLB, Coke, and Delta aren’t taking pro-election fraud stances - they’re following the dollars.

Just read through the actual laws today and am having trouble seeing what is so bad about them. Why is it so controversial to require an ID to vote? Any 17ing body that is a US citizen can easily go get one. Requiring people to actually prove who you are when you go vote isn’t a crazy thing to ask.

For Biden to say it is “Jim Crow on steroids” is asinine. Whether you agree with the law or not, that comparison is absurd.

People love using words to create hate a division. Words they have no idea of the true experience of those words like Jim Crow, Nazi, Facists, etc.

I would go further but I imagine this will be locked soon.

I really haven’t watched many pro sports outside of maybe my favorites teams because I don’t care for any politics when it comes to sports. But I’ve stopped watching all of the nba. Just way overloaded with politics these days. Most of NFL has been getting that way too. Baseball was pretty clear until today. I just want to watch freaking sports and get away from politics.

It’s because Georgia is now a swing state due to the change of the amount of people moving to the Atlanta area from the northeast that are more liberal. They will push more stuff like this is in the new swing states.

Yep Republicans are bad about this. They need to get out of the ‘control’ business and just accept what ‘is’. Rona just accelerated shifts that were already happening and we all better make peace with a new level of liberal ‘freedom’. And Republicans for damn sure better figure out how to play the election game. Trump was the last stand for a lot of it.
