This is what Byrne should do with Crxxm.

He should go to him and tell him that he has to hire an OC and let that guy run his offense. Croom needs to just be the head coach. I think Crxxm is good at giving speeches, recruiting parents, and getting most of the players to work hard. My only remaining concern with Crxxm would be instances like going for it on 4th and 15 because of emotion. I guess that is a worry for another time though, as right now, we have to do something about getting an offense in here that can at least score a few points. Of course Crxxm is so hard headed he would probably quit instead of agreeing to turning the offense over to someone else.

and there is too much of it. He needs to check that **** at the door.

It's also his pride that doesn't care what you think.**

....he's supposedly such a fine, Christian man and pride is the greatest of the seven deadly sins.

Just sayin'....

noses at the state of Mississippi, which is actually laughable..they actually have an elitist attitude, which is even more ridiculous. Croom can't wait to slidle across the border to Tuscaloosa, and the other one can't wait to head for the hills of Tennessee.

That is what needs to happen.

So far, the one impression that I've gotten from Byrne is that he truly thinks that MSU can play with the big boys and that he's not going to take ineptitude in any sport. I don't know that the next change for football will be Croom himself, but I do think that Byrne will demand a change. All obvious signs point at McCorvey at this point in time.

With that being said, can someone please tell me what the point of the white plastic slotted cap on the top of a whiskey bottle is for? I'd love to know.

I'm not saying that having a lot of pride is a good thing, but don't use the "Seven Deadly Sins" as an argument tied with Christianity.

In Proverbs 6:16-19, it is stated that "(16) These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:" (quotes from King James Version (KJV) translation of the Bible). These are:

 • (17) A proud look,
 • a lying tongue,
 • and hands that shed innocent blood,
 • (18) A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
 • feet that be swift in running to mischief,
 • (19) A false witness that speaketh lies,
 • and he that soweth discord among brethren.

While there are seven of them, these sins are considerably different in outward appearance from the seven deadly sins list that arose later. The only sin which is clearly on both lists is pride.

From Emory "The Memory" Bellard's "run the wishbone until all our backs get killed" philosophy, to Jackie Sherrill's inability to develop a passing offense (but he DID coach Dan Marino-let's not forget that Miami picked 2nd to last in the 1983 draft, and Marino was thought to be a bust in college), to Sylvester "WCO" Croom (except that WASN'T the WCO- the 3 yd. slant and 5 yd. curl was open all night long). I think the coaches we have think MState fans and administration are so retarded that only THEY know what to do, and that we peasants should be happy to have them grace our presence.

I'd like a coach like Paul Johnson, someone who sees our strengths and weaknesses, and develops a game plan around what'll give us the best chance to win.
Edited: I forgot Rockey Felker. He wasn't prideful and arrogant, other than running 170 lb. Tay Galloway up the middle 20-25 times a game his last season. He was just not the brightest bulb on the christmas tree.

You mean we can change our strategy based on our players? What a great idea!! Someone should let Croom know about this.....oh, wait.....there's that whole "I'll retire before I......" ********.

Why does Sly think it's more important to run "HIS" offense than win? Selfish bastard!!!!

You are exactly right- McCorvey MUST go. But the thing here is no really knows who is calling the plays- Croom? McCorvey? Felker? It's crazy. This is what's going to be tricky- we're going to be telling Croom to give up what he wants to do- which is call plays and get rid of his buddy that he is covering for. Yes, it needs to be done, but I could definately see Croom saying "either Woody stays or we both go and I'm bringing Al and Jesse with me."

We just need to be ready for it- along with Croom's stellar won loss record and Woody's offensive rankings. Also, we can point to whatever Croom does (or doesn't do) that loses the Egg Bowl for us- it's coming.

I CAN'T WAIT for the offseason!
