This is why I stayed out of the earlier debate about Stans.

He puts much more stock in SEC play than the Nov-Dec schedule. And it's silly to judge the season until March.

For seeding as the SEC schedule. You get no pass for winning SEC games when you blow non-con games and cost yourself seeding. Emphasize winning all of them. Sweet 16 or bust.

If that's the case, then he will continue to struggle being the 5-8 seed. The SEC is never going to be strong enough top to bottom to move us up in tourney seedings.

People forget how young we are and Bost has played a lot better the last three and that is huge. We are going to shoot the threes because we have too and if we shoot decetly, we have a chance. I love to see all the basketball experts eat crow. Ricky is a damn good coach and look at how he adujusted his lineup to improve. We struggle against real phsical teams with size but we also give them match up problems because as small as Phil is on defense, it is hard to guard him with a big man. Great win for dogs.

..the Stansbury debate.

Because I felt this team could do better, & they did tonight.

I love the way people come to a sports messageboard after a big, unexpected win & brag about how they didn't use the messageboard during some of the board's hottest debates.

That's like saying I didn't ask that hot girl out because I didn't want to have to explain to my mother that she has scary political views.

I think Bost is the key to our success this year - if we have any. We play very solid tonight - both on offense and defense. My biggest worry is reliance on the 3. Bost, as (or if) he continues to improve, will be the guy to keep our offense balanced. If we can keep the opposing defences honest - look out - we have the shooters to suprise some folks this year. However - I'll remain cautiously optimistic.

If we turn it on in the next two months and we get in to the NCAA's, I'll be happy.

You make a good point, however. If we play like this 1st game of the SEC schedule, why can't we play like that vs. the quality non-conference teams? It's frustrating, because Stans seems content winning the West and picking up a 7th seed.

Or it could be that we have a young as team that is just now starting to play well together

I agree with everything but we still live and die by the 3. We are playing better ball all around and I'll take the shots if we're making them, but sometimes it's silly.

What really impressed me was the communication tonight and the ball control. We slowed it down and burned the clock and didn't kill the lead. Great game.
