This epic meltdown in the 8th inning really drives home the point we didn't catch any break with the schedule. We get freakin Vandy on the road and Ole Miss gets this bunch at home. Bat Cats about to be a big 0 for 10 on the road in the SEC this year.

If we don't need a win or two in the end, not playing Ky was definitely good.

I pretty sure 1-2 on road against top 3 RPI team is better than 3-0 or 2-1 against #125 RPI.

I have actually wondered if we should cancel the Valley twinbill. Their RPI is 268.

One loss to them would probably knock us out of a regional all together. No doubt it will hurt our RPI. It might help our hitters a little bit though- sometimes false confidence leads to real confidence.

As long as we take care of business this weekend. Those two non-conf. games could also make or break us come regional time.

I haven't looked in a few weeks, but Memphis was doing better than they usually do. They are also in C-USA- a pretty good baseball conference. South Alabama is usually pretty decent.

I don't know if those are make or break games, but winning those would certainly help since both are on the road.
