...down 3-2 in the bottom of the 5th. Had a runner thrown out at home and now at 3rd. Instead of runner on second 1 out, it's bases empty no outs. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I know we are supposed to get four games in this weekend, but I don't get why they are trying to play in this.

1. We are not going to be able to play the way we want to because of the field. You will also notice that anytime Iowa has tried to do the same things- take an extra base, they've been thrown out too.

2. They seem to have some pretty good arms in the outfield and behind the plate.

This is one of those days where everything that could possibly go wrong has- which pisses me off.

This is yet another reason why I do not like having an all small ball type team. I like being aggressive, but I prefer to have power and speed- we need balance. We have too many easy outs in our lineup.

I can't hold it back anymore, and I'm one of Cohen's biggest supporters. What we do on the base paths makes me wonder how in the $++% our coaches could even get a high school job.

but the officiating was pretty dang bad this game. Blue was never consistent behind the plate, and missed a big time call with the runner coming in at home (should have been safe).

His strike zone was very inconsistent, and that makes it hard on everyone- the pitchers and the hitters. All I ask of the home plate umpire is consistency. I understand that there will be a missed call or two, but when every hitter has a different strike zone, it's tough.

And on the call at the plate- the umpire was out of position and the catcher sold it well. Just lazy on the umpires part. I don't blame Cohen for getting kicked out on that.

I think he was a new umpire because I saw the crew chief have to get in there to try to provide a buffer between Cohen and that joke.

And then WTF was that about saying the catcher was out of play when he caught the ball and awarding the runners two bases before they reversed it?

Like I said, everything that could go wrong went wrong.

It was bang bang between the catcher catching the pop up and his coach catching him as he fell into the dugout.
