If we end up in Birmingham, and because I think that game is played on January 4, I have to ask: Will the fact that the game bleeds over into the spring semester (assuming January 4 is in the spring semester) mean we can look forward to the annual grade casualties keeping certain dubmasses out of the bowl game? If so, who are we predicting as likely casualties?

I don't see it mattering, unless you know something I don't. I know grades are posted at MSU by mid-December. Not 100% how that impact eligibility for the football program though, but I wouldn't think it's much different than if the bowl game was on Dec 31.

I doubt classes have resumed by Jan 4th.
