What’s it like to abandon one’s capacity for observation and reason and passively swallow whatever the media shoves down your throat? Seems like such an odd lifestyle choice. None of my business really.

I want to thank Troypwr for this post and his subsequent responses. First of all, I love irony. That he presumptuously posts "this pretty much explains it", then goes on to demonstrate that rather than proving Conservatives to be uneducated and stupid, that he himself doesn't keep up very well at all.

I have observed over the months that Troypwr routinely gets lost in the battles of wits and semantics that he launches here. He has no grip on history, and his research abilities are limited to relying on only those who says what he wants to hear. The Bible calls that "itching ears".

Meanwhile, he misses that none of the Conservative posters here fit the narrative that he started the thread with. And as usual, he descends into petty junior high attempts at "gotcha" when he gets spanked. Hardly a demonstration of superior intellect.

Yes, Troypwr does a good job explaining the Left's issues, rather than the Right's. Sheeeesh, I bet he too doesn't know what a woman is or that Adam Schiff is a traitorous liar. You know, basic stuff like that that identifies so many on the Left as mere tools.

I was born when Truman was "stopping the buck". I have lived under 14 Presidents, through 4 wars (of consequence), hold a degree in Administration of Justice with an English minor, held two successful careers, am a published writer, and I don't even hold a candle to many of the other posters here that I know personally.

Troypwr's lack of respect and recognition indeed "pretty much explains" why our country has been ripped apart by the Marxist-Socialism that he ignorantly espouses, and if allowed to continue unchecked will eventually destroy the "grand experiment".

Yeah, OK, Mr. "Biden this or that in response to anything Trump." Nevermind that Trump is facing lawsuits up the yingyang. You're a weasel. No defense or support on grounds at all!! For you it's all "both sides" cheese. You claim to be stout but you're actually just flimsy grass. Dump on Biden all you want. Who cares? Nothing he could do will kill a million people, embolden white supremacy, monetize the Presidency, weaken our geopolitical alliances or grift the rubes of this country. (call now and donate) That honor belongs to Donnie the Dope. I'm NOT a Democrat, Elmer. I'm not a Biden fan. I'm a U.S. citizen, global citizen and Earth fan. (you know the planet we depend on for air and water) Extrapolate from that.

Your "party over country" stance is tired and on the way out. (the sooner the better) Ask yourself why the Republicans want to snuff out the young voter. Shouldn't they be embracing them? Young people see the bullch!t that your myopathy cannot. Goodbye, pops. Our only chance is for old dopes to start pushing up daisies with the fresh air and water that they young will save.

Drink from that tap!

actually, the young people are generally just not interested in politics and have been brainwashed to believe that racism and every other "ism" is the most important issue. these kids literally dont have a clue that there has been a massive intergenerational shift of wealth and that they will be faced with massive debt that will kill their future prospects. with higher interest rates and a much larger debt, we will be paying over a trillion in interest on the national debt by 2024 (we paid 200 billion in Q4, which equates to 800 billion a year already). and yes, Republicans made a very pathetic and meager attempt to use the debt ceiling to address this issue, whereas they should have used that debt ceiling to force a true discussion on the massive changes required to put us on a stable course.

democrats refuse to look at the difference in seriousness between the Trump lawsuits and the Biden crime family. Biden and Hunter were literally selling political favors. Trump is being charged with a misdemeanor that was elevated to a felony on a novel legal theory. the prosecutor who is filing these charges had made a campaign promise that he would "get" Trump. he didnt care about his integrity, only about fulfilling a campaign promise. when you decide to "get" someone before even having any evidence or charge, that is political, not justice.

what has convinced me that Democrats have lost their souls is the way they are treating RFK jr (cancelling him). if democrats would actually listen to his very long, in-depth interviews, he espouses the true principles of this country and points to the corruption that exists in many areas of government/business. he truly believes that there is a better path to peace and the military/intelligence communities are corrupt. he believes 100% in freedom of speech, which was a Democratic policy position in the past and he has accomplished more in the area of environmental protection than almost anyone. his views on re-focusing environmental activism on clean water and air, instead of difficult to quantify global warming could get alot of people behind stricter environmental policies.

Democrats hate RFK because he exposes the real truth. That the current policies of Democrats are fully the product of serving the corrupt and greedy interests of the immensely rich and government officials who exploit their position for personal greed and political purposes. Democrats refuse to listen to his articulate arguments against the COVID vaccines and lockdowns, despite his extensive evidentiary support. They brand him an anti-vaxxer as a derogatory term, so they can marginalize his ideas...because they cant argue against his evidence.

The modern day Democrat is either a fraud or a fool. You arent the party that cares about people. You are the party that supports destruction of our Constitution and the exploitation of our country's resources for the benefits of a few rich people. Or maybe you just cant understand logical arguments. Fraud or fool. You pick.

Certainly, there are educated and successful people who voted for Trump. But the facts are that the GOP used to consistently win the preponderance of the college-educated vote, while democrats won the HS degree-or-less demographic. That trend reversed under Trump:

Now, of course, education and success aren't the be-all end-all. Some really smart and successful people have done foolish things. Look at Rudy Giuliani. He was America's Mayor and now he is a laughingstock with little to show for himself -- all because he bought into the Big Lie. Stewart Rhodes was a Yale Law grad and now he's going to do 18 years in prison because he bought into the Big Lie. Hell, I saw a guy on the old OT -- highly successful USC grad with a law degree --- brag about sending money to Sidney Powell. People will throw out all common sense when they get emotionally invested in a movement.

LOL! Go after the Bidens all you want. Investigate them non-stop for all I care. But the idea that Trump's crimes aren't as serious is laughable. Trump's legal woes in New York are just the tip of the iceberg.

Oh, and let's be clear, RFK Jr. was dismissed as a nut job by all sides LONG before he became a darling of the MAGA right:

You honestly don't get the point here???? I think you are being incredibly disingenuous by thinking you must score a cheap political victory at any cost. So let me help you out here. THE POINT IS, that unlike Demonrats, Trump does not assume Amerikan voters are all stupid. Even the stupidest Demonrat politicians; Maise, Jaypal, Hank, Jackson-Lee, Waters, you name them, think they are supposed to be smarter than their constituents and talk down to them and treat them like garbage and take them for granted. Trump does not do that and never has. He treats them with dignity and respect until such time as they do something stupid. Be careful with your retort now since it will be obvious you don't have a clue what is truly stupid and undeserving of respect.

Also don't bother to engage in a soliloquy with me - yes that's what you do as opposed to a dialogue - as you are now on permanent ignore due to unhinged political TDS BS.

It is interesting that you would mention this. The many expose videos of college students unable to answer basic questions regarding history, geography, math, etc. BUT can whiz the social indoctrination spectrum counters your point.

The irony of pointing out scientific argument against the Right when the Left thinks that a baby becomes a baby when it is exposed to air (and even that one is under attack), and of course the "scientific theory" that gender is determined between the ears rather than by human biology and to an incredibly destructive end. Yes, and BTW find me just one of your college educated Democrats who has read or even knows about the Cass Report, or the Brown University Report, or the John Money expose, or the Tavistock lawsuits. Nope, they just open their willing mouths and are spoon fed the kool aid while people's very lives are being destroyed in the name of Leftist "science.

Lastly, you call a former mayor a laughingstock while you support the major "lawfare" being waged on conservatives, churches, and Catholics that generates your opinions of them. That is circular and disingenuous.

BTW, it is inappropriate to go out of order when identifying political laughingstocks. You should start by agreeing that our sitting president, Joe Biden is a sad and pathetic failing old man, but you won't admit to that. That is a shame because as I type this, Iran is on the verge of doing some things they would not have considered if Trump were president.

Your priorities lack intellect.

So invested in keeping trump out they’d rather see this country burn.

Let me get this straight. YOU make the argument that you and many other republican voters are educated and successful. And, then, when I note that, empirically, there has been a shift in the demographics with the educated vote going to democrats, suddenly being educated isn't all that important. Bwahahaha!

Not sure what you think generates my opinion, but as a conservative, a church-goer and a Catholic, it sure isn't "lawfare." What on earth does any of that have to do with the fact that Giuliani, a once successful and respected mayor, has made really bad choices and has disgraced himself? Your opinion of Biden in that context is irrelevant. Biden is POTUS. Guiliani had his law license suspended, is broke, being sued for election defamation and can't even get Trump to pay him.

But, yes, we both agree that education isn't everything.
