...first of all SELA is a pretty solid club. Our bats were just silent tonight. There ace pitched a gem. They probably don't have the tomorrow or Sunday. Plus, very encouraged by Routt's performance after getting roughed up last week. The most concerning thing is Jones. The good news is, we've got more in the pen if he doesn't work out in the closer role.

I wouldn't make to much about an early season loss to a team like this. They are pretty good and sometimes escpecially early in the year a good pitcher can stick it up your ***. Go back and look at what you would consider to be the best teams of all-time at State or anywhere else and you will find losses like this on your schedule. I think this is going to be a competitve team in the SEC but with so many new faces and freshmen pitchers they will be streaky. I'm not saying you can't dog there *** but lets keep some perspective.

except for the fact that they are 5-0 with a win over 4-1 Mississippi State. I'd say my case is stronger than yours. Baseball is a different animal, see how the season plays out before making outlandish claims to be cool on this board. Smaller schools can do much damage in college baseball.
