The most boring games I can ever remember. No hitting at all. I know the CWS last year caused a lot of high expectations, but there were a lot of people wrong about this bunch.
This team is one of the biggest disappointments in recent memory.

This team was waaaay overhyped. We were a good, not great, team last year that got hot in the postseason and got some outstanding pitching to get us to the CWS finals. We lost by far our two best hitters in Frazier and Renfroe, our best starting pitcher in Graveman, one of our best relievers in Girodo and both of our catchers. So you take the best players off a team that was not great to begin with, and it's no surprise we're struggling so bad. This team played well above its ceiling in the postseason last year and now has come back down to earth.

I remember myself and KurtRambis saying these things before the season, but most thought we were idiots.

They spent too much time tweeting about the CWS in the offseason instead of just working to get better
I didn't expect we'd be this bad, but I wasn't one of those people who were plugging us in as a national seed before the season started. There were a lot of new players who were going to have to step up, and none of them have, except for maybe Seth Heck. Britton and Vickerson have been disasters at the plate, and Rea has regressed a lot.
I was in that group as well. Losing a 1st round power hitter, clutch hitting and good fielding senior leader at ss and two catchers who did excellent jobs at calling games was going to be too much to overcome. That's not even mentioned an unhittable Girodo and graveman who you could count on for a quality start every outing.
Our pitching and defense is there. It's our hitting that's horrible. Apparently, Cohen and staff don't use the pitching machines at the Palmeiro Center. I'm personally willing to donate some WD-40 to loosen the rust on the machines so they can get going again.
Things have been packed up since the return from Omaha
Whether they play baseball again, one can only hope.
