Forget about it. We don't need the opposing coaches to out coach us, we do it ourselves. Arkansas is getting better and better, they will beat us. Ole Miss will beat us. Bama will kill us.

I think it's now painfully obvious to everyone willing to see that Croom simply will not cut it. He gets conservative when he needs to be risky, and is risky when he needs to be conservative. He punts when he should go for it, and goes for it when he should punt. We got for it on 4th and 6 Saturday and throw a pass that even if completed would have seen our receiver tackled short of the sticks. We can't find a single decent kicker. Why is this so hard? We can't find a single decent QB. Again, why so hard? Any why can't we hire a QB coach?

Seriously, what goes on in Croom's head during decision making time. He seems to do the exact opposite of what he should. Does he flip a coin? Does he ask a magic 8ball? How can one be wrong so many times? I count 3 games this season lost solely on coaching. Those complaining about the defense, come on. The D isn't great, but they are good enough to win with. The blame lies at Sly's feet. Why do we go away from plays that work? The option to Clark, for instance - it works and we never see it again. Why?

The only positive from the game was the new video board was awesome. I found myself watching it sometimes rather than the playing field.

It's time.

with Alabama for 3 quarters and get blown out by Ark and OM. That's the only game Croom ever has the team up for consistently.

But what we have is an old school coach that is coaching an old school football system 3 times removed.

hell he said it, we are going to line up in the "I" & run right at you, & the outcome will be the outcome.

we make no progress during the season

we make no progress season to season

we have made no progress under the tenure of this head coach

We should not accept our own apathy, & he should be fired today

though stranger things have happened. I do absolutely believe that of the 4 games we had left, KY was by far the most winnable game and we pissed it away. Arkansas is on the rise from what they were earlier in the year and KY was a physically and emotionally beat up football team after their Florida thrashing. Also, like us, KY really has no big playmakers on offense, which helped us keep them in check from a defensive standpoint. My biggest disappointment Saturday walking out of the stadium was knowing we had just lost to a very, very mediocre SEC team at home. It will take a minor miracle for our team to beat the likes of AL or even UM on the road. And we can count on once again being emotionally flat as a pancake against Ark in the sandwich game between the 2 rivals, so I look for us to take our annual loss from the Pigs yet once again.

think about it, if you are a player on this team, how can this coach motivate you? As a player, your confidence and/or respect for what he can do is out the window. But I can assure you, unless he resigns, he will be our coach next year.

Well that's a safe statement to make, because even if he is fired, it will be announced as a resignation. Thanks for that super insider information.

admit that he's been a failure) and whether or not the money is available to buy him and the other coaches out is debatable. If not, he'll be here next year.

but then again I wouldn't be shocked if we beat Bama or OM and give the sheep more excuses why we should keep Crooms.

Yeah, I doubt it too. However, going back home and having your tail handed to you is embarrassing. If there is any team he respects and takes seriously, it is Alabama. After he sees them 1st hand, he may have a epiphaney standing on that sideline that he isn't half the coach he needs to be in this league.

As for Arkansas, they are not that good. We should be able to move the ball on their defense. The question will be if we screw up in the kicking game and if we can contain Michael Smith. Contain Smith, score 3 TDs, and don't give them any TOs....we win. However, that is three tall orders for this team.
