Forget about it. We don't need the opposing coaches to out coach us, we do it ourselves. Arkansas is getting better and better, they will beat us. Ole Miss will beat us. Bama will kill us.
I think it's now painfully obvious to everyone willing to see that Croom simply will not cut it. He gets conservative when he needs to be risky, and is risky when he needs to be conservative. He punts when he should go for it, and goes for it when he should punt. We got for it on 4th and 6 Saturday and throw a pass that even if completed would have seen our receiver tackled short of the sticks. We can't find a single decent kicker. Why is this so hard? We can't find a single decent QB. Again, why so hard? Any why can't we hire a QB coach?
Seriously, what goes on in Croom's head during decision making time. He seems to do the exact opposite of what he should. Does he flip a coin? Does he ask a magic 8ball? How can one be wrong so many times? I count 3 games this season lost solely on coaching. Those complaining about the defense, come on. The D isn't great, but they are good enough to win with. The blame lies at Sly's feet. Why do we go away from plays that work? The option to Clark, for instance - it works and we never see it again. Why?
The only positive from the game was the new video board was awesome. I found myself watching it sometimes rather than the playing field.
It's time.
