Y'all know how nil is the thing now and these kids are spoiled? Remember when we were kids and our parents decided what we wore for the day because you know, our parents paid for our clothes? I have a idea. How about since we the fans pay for tickets and we have to pull money out of our *** now to go to the games… the fans get to decide the uniforms.

Surprised they even know who that is. Or do they?! They do like to wear the band T-shirts and not have a damn clue who the band is.
I watched a fairly recent interview with John Rzeznick (Goo Goo Dolls) with the professor of rock. The subject was about how Iris is still going strong. He talked about his musical roots and said it's amazing because in my day we wouldn't listen to our father's music. Music hasn't changed since 1970. Too many of these younger people listen to our music today. They play the same play list that we played at Dudy Noble when I played there. It was new music then.

White helmets = never good.
They seemed fine last week. I don't mind the WWG. My sincere hope is that we never see white helmets with maroon jerseys (AKA the Croomiform) again while I'm alive. I think I've outlined my two step plan before, but my only hard and fast rules would be:

1. No maroon pants, ever.
2. White helmets only with white jerseys (prefer grey pants, but fine with the icy whites every now and then)

If we stick to those simple rules, we actually now have some pretty sick uniforms. The blacks we wore against (ASU?) last year even looked pretty good.

State's M/W/W is an awesome look. I think the gray pants go great with M/M/G.

I don't mind the white helmets. I absolutely hated them when Jackie trotted them back out for the opener v MemSt in... 2001?

But I think it's sound logic to wear the white helmets when we play a team with dark helmets. It made good sense last week.

Last week, my wife and I went to see a (probably the best, but Rain is also good) Beatles tribute band, The Fab Four. There were a lot of people there who were our age, but there were also a lot of young people in their 20s and 30s, be-bopping along and totally enjoying the music. It was in the relatively small Mars Music Hall venue so you were up close and personal unless in the upper level.

Now back to football player fashion choices- never all maroon. Solid color uniforms look ridiculous.

We won & I’m not complaining too much. But the white helmets sucked. But they’re at least better than black anything.

My 18 year-old and her friends know all the lyrics to Living on a Prayer, and love when it comes on. The equivalent would be 1996 senior me and all my friends knowing the lyrics to Nothing but a Hound Dog. Ironically, I did, but I seriously doubt all my friends did, and none of us would've joined in if a DJ put it on at a dance, and I've seen recent teens enjoying Bon Jovi on a dance floor, along with some other classics (Jump for example).
My 15 year-old loves certain 70s and 80s music (.38 Special, CCR, Def Leppard) and isn't a fan of others (Prince comes to mind), but I can't tell you where his friends land.

You've gotta love Journey and Def Leppard, no matter what your age is. I'm probably one of the few that like Nickelback.

I still don't understand the Nickleback hate. I get the over saturation but it's almost like you had to prove you were part of the club by professing your hate for Nickleback. I mean if you go back and watch the video to Rockstar there are a bunch of cool celebrities and athletes in that video. It actually surprised me because I was wondering why they would associate with a band that gets so much hate.

They aren't on my playlist per say but I'm not shi++ing on them every time they are brought up or when their music is played.
