White Hispanic was on forms that I filed related to financial aid and such when I went to college in 1989. I know for a fact that I saw and heard it prior to that point. I remember joking about it with a buddy in my physics class which I took junior year in high school - 1987-88.

That way well be true but it is the first time the New York Times used that term. The media thought it was a white on black murder. Reverend Al got involved and the media jumped on board. Do you ever wonder why NBC doctored the 911 call and the pictures at the police station If they didn't have an agenda?

I think the phrase for that is "performative contradiction." The very act of saying what he was saying contradicted him.

It reminds me of when someone says "It goes without saying..." and then they say the thing that they just said goes without saying.
