That's good to hear. Hopefully finally have an OL coach for the first time 4 seasons will make a difference.
If we could add Seaton (almost surely impossible) in addition to Peak and Thompson, our OL could be elite. Maybe having Thompson and Peak is a recruiting chip for Seaton.

True. Put Thompson at RT and Surrat at guard. Hopefully better coaching makes difference
Pretty sure he was in the portal. He visited a couple places. If not, those are clear tampering cases.
I don't know if he was or not, but I THINK the rule is that other schools cannot actively pursue a player who is not in the portal, but the player is free to visit other schools and pursue them. Basically, the school cannot initiate contact. Supposedly.

He was in the portal. UGA and Miami hosted him for visits. He may or may not have gotten offers, but he definitely got some interest.
Just a guess, but I think the new OL coach must have looked at him and encouraged him to stay.
He should be a key returner, but he's got two big boys from the portal to compete against for a starting job at tackle. I'm not sure if he can play inside.

Having Thompson back probably closes the book on Seaton. You have at least 4 capable bodies at OT now. You bring in Seaton if he wants to come, but that would almost definitely lead to one of the bodies we have transferring out because Seaton is definitely coming with a promise to start at LT.
Yep, you take Seaton in a heartbeat, but that means someone riding the pine who was expecting to play a lot.
Nice problem to have, unless it poisons the well. Thompson will be 20 when the season starts. He may end up not being a starter this year even if we don't get Seaton. Hopefully he understands.
