That was awesome, wish they were that amped up before every game.

I don't care as much about the music as I do the crappy speakers on one end of the stadium.

Most of the complaints I've heard aren't about hip hop... it's about playing beiber on 3rd down... that kinda crap just kills an environment. Upbeat and hype I'm cool with all the way around.

Thanks for sharing the vid. Enjoyed.

Don't get the relationship with what music they play at CWS during games has with this vid.

Me either.

From what I recall it's just comprised of alot of dated music (stuff I listened to at that age) blasting through a PA system.

These players were not alive when most of the stuff was popular. Example: "Kickstart my Heart" by MC. Heck even Outkast and Black Eyed Peas were WAY before their time.

I understand the goal of hype and keeping players as well as fans emotionally charged, but some of the song selections are just noise and painful to the ears.

It's not just football games, if you've been to other athletic events you know that the music is often way too loud, and not always a very good song for getting the competitive and fan juices flowing.

How about the crappy train whistle and locomotive sound when our opponents face a 3rd down?
Makes absolutely no sense at all. If anything it should be played if we make a first down by rushing
the ball.

I think that is about coal miners. They keep the lights on.
It's stupid to play it when our opposition is facing a 3rd down. Would make more sense to play it after we
convert a first down by rushing the ball.

watch this video and you see exactly why the song selection of commonwealth is what it is. Anything to keep these kids in the game is fine by me.

Man was they locked and loaded pregame before saturday. Nice when coach don't have to say a single word.

Agreed. Play whatever music gets them jacked up. Every generation has their own style of music that the older generation detests. Play the right tunes!

While I don't much care for a lot of the "music", what gets me is its excessive loudness & the necessity of playing every instance up to the teams setting at the LOS. Somehow they think people don't want to talk to each other. It's something I won't miss at all when I give up my season tickets down the road.

I'm two weeks away from being 59 years old and I LOVE the loud music in Commonweath. Gets me pumped up too.

I'm not much for the new country but I like the hip hop as long as it's not filled with obscenities and degrading to our beautiful women. Let's rock the stadium!

At first I didn't like it but it grew on me after awhile.....

That actually is the point.

Since our fans won't make noise, our stadium artificially creates it.

Thanks for posting. I'm an old guy, so I'm not sure but I guess they were rapping a popular song.
But whatever it was, it got them jacked, and I love it!

So here's an old-timer who's just gitting jiggy wit it...

That coal whistle was driving me insane in the first quarter of the Austin Peay game before the defense started playing football.

LOL! If you go look up the lyrics to the song the players are reciting you'll figure out that they did a bit of editing with that video posted by the OP. The song is "Dreams and Nightmares" by Meek Mill if you want to look them up for yourself.

I don't think they will be playing that one in the stadium anytime soon.
