1. Crowd of 56,032....very vocal, very loud....almost everyone wore white, nice job of the AD getting this information out quickly so everyone could prepare
Crowd stayed (students and older people) to the end...that was actually the type of atmosphere we should always have
Largest non-conference crowd ever at Davis Wade Stadium

2. Good job on the pregame...crowd went nuts when JWS was recognized in the pregame, crowd went nuts again when the Ole Miss game ended (lot of people had it on their headsets) and then went nuts again when the score was read over the PA

3. Excellent job by the Dogs...defense had some lapses, but were able to make big plays to end threats

4. Congrats to Tyler Russell, who had an outstanding Bulldog debut...the WR corps looked much improved

5. In general, it looks like we have more speed team-wise, more speed on the line as well

6. Team was well disciplined and made very few first-game mistakes

7. Memphis is awful...yet, MSU has always had a history of struggling to put away inferior opponents

8. Even though the Bulldogs had more than 550 yards of total offense, still not much was shown...quite simply, Memphis was overmatched...there is little doubt that Dan still has a lot left on the drawing board for Auburn

9. The cowbells were great tonight...Tonight won't have any impact on the longterm use of cowbells...MSU will be able to have the bells until a major upset at home, such as beating an Alabama or Florida, that will be when we have issues

10. Getting on campus, really smooth...getting off another story...security held up my line for 20 minutes in front of the Coliseum...I told him I wanted to turn around and leave another way...he said he couldn't move the barricade...I said either move the barricade or your fat ***, that is your choice...otherwise I will be running over one or the other
He moved the barricade and I went another way without incident

Can't wait for Thursday

the propeller plane flyover was early, as usual, and

Parking has gotten exponentially suckier since the last time I was up for a game.

I was in the band parking lot, and all I had to do was turn left onto blackjack. Until the parkingdeck gets finished, whenever that happens, and we can funnel people out more efficiently, getting outis gonna be terrible, especially if we expand the stadium and try to fit thousands more onto campus.

Was supposed to go in gate 8. Gate 8 was closed. WTF. So we go to gate 7 - which had 1 ticket taker instead of the usual 2. The line for gate 7 was hundreds of people deep 1 hr before kickoff. Took us 30 minutes to get through that line. Asinine.

There was a huge group of students waiting to get in the student gate a little after 4 on the south end of the East side, but there was no line at all in the non-student gate right next to them. Also had no problems getting out, but for years now it's been really easy getting off campus from Lots 6 or 8 through University Drive

The atmosphere in the Junction and during the game was terrific. The nearly complete white out was a success, and when the students rang their (larger number of) cowbells in sync with the music, it looked and sounded great.<div>

Theconcessionstand service was excruciatingly slow. Maybe it was just the one I went to... but I swear I was in line at least 45 minutes. Went directly down & got in line at end of the 1st half. Didn't get back to my seat until midway through 3rd quarter. I think the problem was that of the 15-20 people working, apparently only one woman knew the prices & could add. A girl took my order, kind of waits around until this other woman comes over, tells her what I want, then that woman tells me how much it costs. Was without a doubt the slowest service I've ever seen at one of our games & will be the last time I make a trip down this year.<div>
</div><div>Other than that, I thought things ran smoothly. Huge crowd & great atmosphere. And as far as getting on/off campus - I can remember games with a much smaller crowds but worse traffic conditions. At least what I was seemed to be pretty well organized tonight.</div>

(except for the speckles of others)
If you know someone that is going to buy a ticket for the Auburn game (at the Game) remind them that it's a True Maroon-Out

Speaking of the students.....every time the most interesting freshman in the world played the student section would start booing. That was hilarious.

My wool changed watching the game. The passing game grew a little wool. The running game stayed the same because we're going to miss Dixon. The entire defense I lost a little wool.

The fact we were so vanilla is what impressed me about our passing game tonight. It was just a straight up *** whoopin. The defense I was a little disappointed that our d-line did not dominate like I expected. KJ's injury and our pass coverage left me a little concerned.
