We've now won 3 straight SEC games and 3 straight against ranked teams. How many time has that happend in the last 8 years?

We're 3-2 in the SEC. Other than 2007, how many times have we been above .500 at any point in an SEC season?

It sure is nice to have the first glimmer of a hope for optimism in baseball in a long, long time.

Have not looked it up to confirm but from what I understand, 22 of our 24 total runs vs. Auburn have come with two outs. That's pretty damn clutch and a helluva thing to build on.

all I wanted to see this season was improvement. I did not and still don't expect (keeping my expectations low) a big turn around in the overall record b/c we are in the SEC afterall. At this point, our talent lies with mainly first and to a lesser extent second year players. Couple that with all of the various arm problems that alot of the pitchers showed up with two recruiting classes ago and that is alot to overcome. I still think that if we can continue to recruit well, we should start climbing the ranks in the conference in a couple of years. If Henderson and Frazier (or some other freshman) turn out to be close to as good as Norris and Bradford, then next season could make us much happier.

I also sense that the players are building their confidence and starting to expect to win instead of just hoping. I like that the freshmen are performing so well up to this point.
