I've been at a Funeral most of the day so I couldn't keep up with much. I just got home and read several posts, and I'm not real surprised by most of them. That being said...
1. There's way more important things in life than a recruit going on a visit to OM...but at the same time I understand the importance of this particular recruit. I just hope everybody that's freaking out isn't losing valuable time with their family while doing so.
2. Everybody take a deep breath. If Brewster is sleeping well, we should all sleep well. Because that guy does not seem like the type that could sleep well if we were in jeopardy of losing our #1 recruit.
3. Ole Miss gonna Ole Miss. You know it's coming every year, and while we've been getting better as a fan base at handling it...I'd have to say we took a step back today.
4. Take time to make fun of yourself and our fans. It will calm you down and make you realize this **** isn't that damn serious. (For instance, "At least we have basketball"...Buddup Ching). Make fun of OM fans too, bc when Jones signs with MSU they will have completely wasted their erections this weekend.
5.We will close the recruiting season out strong. Mullen, Deshea, and mainly Brewster, will have it no other way. This isn't your Daddy's Bulldogs...although the last few days may have brought back memories.
6. And finally, rest assured that events like today's will only help our recruiting efforts from this point forward. Our staff learned a lot, our boosters learned a lot, and hopefully our fans learned a lot. We gotta start turning all of that panic and pant shitting, into energy used to help assist with recruiting. Whether it's message boards, a bball game, football game, or a bar on campus...our fans and students can help. All Ole Miss did with today's shot at our #1 recruit, is piss a **** ton of people off, so it may be exactly what was needed to wake the 17 up.
Look at the bright side...Feb 6 will be a good day. If not because of our great class, because recrootin season is ovah.
