There is no way in 2, 5, 10 years there are three players on this team in the NBA. If Lawerence Roberts and Austin cant make it Moultrie cant, if Gordon and Bowers cant make, there is no way Bost can. Too early on Hood, and pretty sure Sidney is not going to play.

Gordon cant come close to shooting the ball as well or passing...Bowers was solid- but not as good of a PG as Bost

Bost will make a roster as a combo guard and sit on somebody's bench collecting a check

Moultrie has the size and length that both Roberts and Austin lacked. He also has the elite athleticism that Austin lacked and the offensive skill that Roberts lacked. Those are what kept those guys out of the NBA.

Bost is a better ballhandler than Gordon and Bowers were, and is a better outside shooter than Gordon was. If Steve Blake can have a long career in the NBA, Bost can too. With guys who are not first rounders, it's as much luck in finding the right spot as it is talent. I don't think he's a first rounder.

I agree on Sidney - he may find a spot on someone's bench, but I would expect it to be short-lived.

because that kid was a winner any way you sliced it.

Bowers was completely a clutch player. Our offense ran smooth as silk.

Bost might be very talented, and statistics might support it. But Bowers leading the team we have now would have us as a 5 seed or better.

Bost is a quicker , better shooting guard.Gordon is bull in a china shop physical ,and probably could have made the league in the 80s when the NBA game was more physical than it is now. Im not sure if this is Germans, but here is a clip of Gordon in an exhibition against the OKC Thunder stealing a ball on Kevin Durant. I think Gordon could play if given a chance. His frame just

His shooting will be subpar as well as I think his ability to get a shot off.
I think his defense could be adequate, but he hasn't really shown a lot in college. Maybe when he's playing short stretches, he can really step up his D.
His ball handling will be good enough for the NBA, but I'm not sure it's an elite skill that will write his ticket.

I certainly could see him hanging around on somebody's bench, I'm just not sure I'd bet on it.

If he gets on a team with an offensively-strong SG or SF, then you really just need an adequate PG who has a good outside shot.

He's obviously no Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, etc., but I think he could be a Derek Fisher, Mario Chalmers, Nate Robinson, Steve Blake, etc. Not a star, but a role player.

I guess my point was more to his statement that there was NO WAY Bost would be in the NBA. He'll have to have some luck with finding the right team, but I think there is definitely a way.

Roberts and Austin were both long-shots to play in the NBA for a number of reasons, height andshooting range being two big ones. Moultrie is a slam dunk lottery pick. There's no reason he shouldn't play in the NBA for 10 years.

but here is a stats comparision:

Scoring- Bost- 13.4...Bowers 11.2 advantage Bost
Assists- Bost- 5.1...Bowers 2.6 advantage Bost (Bowers wasnt always a PG- but Bost still scored more PPG)
steals- Bost 1.6/game....Bowers 1.4/game
rebounds- Bost 3.7/game...Bowers 3.0/game

Bost also committed less Turnovers per game

Bost leads Bowers in every statistical category....you can say Bowers was a better leader, and I would agree...but Bost is the better player and more likely NBA player

where - if I may quote fishwater - living and dying by the 3 pointer wasn't the norm. We had more of an inside presence and defense was stressed.

I might be wrong but I don't really remember Bowers coming up and shooting a 28 footer with 25 seconds left on the shot clock. Dee has free reign.

Seth says it all; "Physically." It takes more than physical talent to be a top team. Anybody can run, jump, etc. with most others in their league. However, it's what they have upstairs that seperates them. Unfortunately, this team (for the most part) is lacking this.

Stans is unable to take the talented players he recruits and mold them into a good team... He just doesn't have the ability to do that...

Bowers also played on better teams, so he didn't have to score as much. And Bowers was a much better defender and leader.

Its not whether we have 3 or 4 guys who will definitely be successful in the NBA or won't be. Its that we have 4 guys that are considered potential future NBA players. That means we have 3 or 4 really good players on our team. Thats plenty of talent to be much better than 20 and 10 and 7 and 8 currently. Its pathetic actually. And this AINT the first year doing it.

Same could be said with Bowers, LR, Vincent, Powers and Frazier. We had a really good team. Same could be said for the Austin and Zimmerman team. Etc. etc. etc. We underachieve yearly.

Dee is better PG and player- Bowers has more toughness and is probably an all-around better human being.

But I'm telling ya- Bost will wear an NBA jersey- if Zimmerman can- Bost will

can try to change a player's mental ability all they want, but ultimately it is up to the player. You've either got it, or you don't.
