Too bad it takes being called out publicly by a former player before the Stans' sheep acknowledge the shape the program is in.

I agree with him 100% about this team and our chances for improvement this year. </p>

and tell it like it is. He is pretty spot on in what he told. A head coach has to be The Man and earn the respect of his players at all times. For the last several years Stans hasn't been able to get that real Team togetherness implanted in his players brains and hearts. On about every championship team you'll see a total team effort and players that like and care about each other. Stans hasn" been able to instill that in his players. He's been just hoping that a few of his maybe pro prospects can pull a game out. I'll say again I'm very proud of Bart for his take on our basketball program. Maybe Stans and this TEAM will better themselves for this all coming to the front*****

Kirby has been the glue all along and now Stans is painfully aware of it.
Things were a little rocky the last few years, but they've really gone to hell after Kirby left. May be a coincidence, but maybe not.

Kirby = Stan Jones?

Seriously, I don't know if he was the "glue" or not but even last year when Kirby was here we had Ravern and Kodi both suspended a couple of times. There were fights in practice that just did not get caught on TV. We had players transfer. Looks like the same ole, same ole to me with or without Kirby.

"They are only worried about whether or not they get disrespected by
someone. Grow up guys. Its time because suspensions, transfers,
passport issues, missing draft deadlines, ridiculous scheduling and no
leadership has put you in a very precarious position.
At any rate, this team has four guys now offensively that will be as
talented as any four on any team in the SEC. They all have pro
potential at some level offensively and will get looks when they are
done at MSU."

"If Renardo gets things going and is a stud, just think how much ESPN
will love that. Maybe that will minimize the number of games we need to
get in the tourney or something."

Let's hope the Renardo Sidndey Show stays on the court for now on....Time will tell... I think we will beat Bama by 15+..

How many players over the years have made comments similar to "I don't talk to coach, I talk with coach Kirby"?

I know Rhodes did...Bost?...Kodi?

that the "administration" had alienated Stans. Would really be curious on what he meant by that and what's going on behind the scenes with Stans, Stricklin and maybe even Keenum.

I figure Bart got it turned around a bit, and really meant that Stans had alienated the players and the administration.

That article was one of the most informative and revealing articles that I've read in a while. Blew me away.

I can say that the program has gone to hell in a hand basket, but Bart has the knowledge and ability to paint the portrait, andthe background to support his credibility.
