I've been a fan since 68 and we have had all good men as coaches during that time. All of them. But Sly truly has tried to take MSU a new way. Has it always worked, of course not. But you will struggle to find someone, anyone, outside MSU that will say anything but good things about Coach Croom. What I think to few of us understand is that we will never be perenial SEC champs in football but if we let ourselves we can actually be more important. We can be viewed by all around us with respect.

I will use my own Dad as an example.

Someone at the State/Bama game had a sign that said State should be kicked out of the SEC. He was so pissed. Completely beside himself. Then for the rest of the game he talked about how we just can't compete with the big schools in the SEC. They have to much money, we've never been good, etc. So, they hate the Bama's for looking down on us, but spend most of their time basically agreeing with what the the Bama's of the world say. We can't compete with them.

It's like out fans can't even think rationally. Crap, I don't know. I give up. It's beyond me.
