There has got to be a better opponent for WVU to play and not give an away game to. Where are all the people that railed on Marshall games because they can only seat 40,000? Ohio can fit around 20,000 on a good day.

Is this the future beyond 2025?

WHY NOT? THESE ARE PAYDAY GAMES FOR THE BOBCATS AND WARMUP GAMES FOR THE MOUNTAINEERS. POWER-5 TEAMS ALL OVER AMERICA ARE DOING IT. WHY QUESTION WVU, WHICH HAS ONE OF TOUGHEST SCHEDULES IN COUNTRIES EVERY YEAR, DOING IT?
Yeah scheduling Ohio for multiple games will sure capture the eyes of America! Probably catapult our stature. You have to be the biggest doofus and clueless poster on any forum site.

This from the guy who says WVU is done for and will forever be small time. Make up your mind.

You can't play 12 games against the top 12 in the country. This is what happens when 3 of the 4 P4 conferences make an alliance to play each other. Now you know why having UCF, South Florida, Cincinnatti, Tulsa, Memphis, BYU, Colorado State and Boise State in with you is a bad idea.

WVU already has two non conference home games scheduled for 2025. Robert Morris and Pitt. So that's probably why it is an away game that year.

Game 1 in Athens OHIO not Georgia

Hmmh at this point there’s probably a buyout for the next 2 games but THE Ohio University doesn’t probably buy 2 games out.

Game 2 in Morgantown

Hmmh at this point there is one game left so what happens if THE Ohio University gets a $,$$$,$$$ payday offer from the SEC or B1G???? I ask cause historically WVU has had some low buyouts. My guess is THE Ohio University drops a Check and makes more by playing away. Remember the 2 for 1 with UCF back say 15+ years back that was a 1 for 1 and a little cash—maybe cause I remember them not even paying it.

This is not a good announcement in any way unless you’re a fan of THE Ohio University

September 4, 2021 Syracuse @ Ohio
September 9, 2005 Pitt @ Ohio

That is a small sample of recent P5 school that visited Ohio.

Louisville, Kansas and others have done so as well.

What makes us any better than these teams?

Only reason Marshall is not in future schedules is because they refuse a 2 for 1 deal and want to split the money evenly.

“What makes us any better than these teams?”

Aside from class, intelligence, mascot coolness, and hotter looking cheerleaders, check the average home attendance for WVU vs Pitt and WVU vs CUSE. It’s easy to see (2020 is not a valid comparison)

also check the attendance comparisons for WVU vs the Vile and no reason to check WVU vs Kansas since seriously its Kansas and they typically have lower football attendance than the MoHawk bowl.

This is another of paper cuts that causes bleeding and injury and leads to a crisis in confidence—not to be political.

In guy locker room parlance ... we've all woken up next to a wildebeest. Best to not thump your chest about though.

I don't recall the last time we beat Syracuse? Was it 2009 or 2008?

We tend to think of ourselves as high and mighty. But our fans quit on the team after 2 losses, leave the game at half time to see how fast they get home and never buy tickets for lower G5 or FCS in Morgantown. Our fans need to learn to show up for all games and stay 4 quarters.

I thought you knew everything with all your friends in high positions.

Will you come back in 2025 and apologize for misleading the board that we are going to the ACC.

As far as this series goes, we should, never, ever play a game at Ohio.

High quality opponent. Neal has to get those easy wins so everyone thinks he is better than Dana and GOAT Rod.
LMAO. Dana had tough time beating William & Mary, gave Kansas their first conference win in 5 years when he was here. Rod lost Temple, blew a game where he was 28 point favorite.

Nice try troll *****.

Only thing I can think is this is some payoff to ESPN--a MAC game at their home to make the value of the MAC package better for ESPN or something.

Guess Lyons wasn't kidding when he said he was dumming down the OOC schedule after 2025.

Problem is--depending on where WVU is in 2025, playing more major opponents might be more necessary than ever.

And only a miracle fumble in the red zone saved Stew from a devastatingly humiliating loss at Marshall. Now they name bridges, exits and highways after him. The 24-3 ECU loss with the #6 team and Senior Pat White and the blown lead at UConn — costing a BCS bid — speak for themselves.

You really need it explained why WVU shouldn't give MAC teams home games?

They can go to Shepherd next if you like.
Might as well. We play Robert Morris that same season. I'm sure Alabama fan's are pumped about coming to Morgantown.

Hey here's a clue clown ***. IT'S IN 2025. **** CAN CHANGE BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.

Zero content Hillbilly Jeb 😂. Please provide thread where Greg guaranteed WVU was 100% in ACC. Fairly sure I read WVU was gonna keep a seat at the table. No guarantees. What’s up biaatch?

Smart move by Ohio U. WVU fans from Parkersburg will buy 10,000 OU season tickets, just to get a ticket into this game. Marshall pulled the same stunt. WVU must be interested in recruiting Kings nephew from Athens.

You really have issues....sad you can't carry on a simple covno anymore without going off the deep end.

Who said anything about things can change in 2025? That wasn't even part of the conversation...
