Thomas-Williams has shown very little thus far and he's the only other true RB with any size. Smallwood is, evidently, not considered to be very durable or he would have been given more carries. Even if Smallwood does return, I think we're better off having Shell. If Smallwood leaves, Shell, if not the starter, is definitely going to get a lot of carries.   We're not exactly so overflowing with talent we can say that anyone who is good enough  to play won't be a loss. There is a huge difference between being good enough for the NFL and good enough to be a very valuable contributor for WVU.</blockquote>
