We're not going to have the long methodical 15 play drives against Bama. We've got to throw it deep early and often. If Bama has a weakness, it's their corners. Yeah I realize we struggle to throw the ball down the field. Maybe we can catch them off guard a couple two or three times. You know we'll need some big breaks to pull it off, or even stay in this game. Why not let it fly? After watching our film, Saban will be stacking the box. Throw it deep Dan!

Another reason to air it out:

We don't need Dak getting beat to hell running it 15 times and missing the Arkansas game.

So true and I actually should have that at the top of the list to reasons why. Don't need to have Dak anymore beat up than he already is, with our last 2 games, that are winnable.

When you have a kid that is 6"5' 220 why in the world would you want to throw it up to him?** That would be like using the diamond formation more than once**

You better hope Dan sits DAK..

TR is our only QB that can accurately throw the ball down-field.

DAK must not be very accurate throwing more than 15 -20 yards...

Not a bad idea, let's go full blown air raid and see what happens.

Do the unexpected. Relentlessly.
Come out passing. When the defense adjusts, go to the Diamond formation. When they adjust to that, mix the read option and Relf-coast offense with Diamond formation plays and deep shots.
The point is this: Don't play Saban's game. He will have his team prepared to play the same MSU team he has so often humiliated. Keep him guessing, and keep the defense on their heels.

If any of this works, I'm going to write a book and dedicate it to coach 34.

I'll call it: How to beat Sabands

Sucked that Dak barely over shot Brandon Holloway against TAMU. Nobody would have caught him in stride.

I think that was more on Holloway than Dak. He slowed down just a little and

then jumped. If he runs full out with his arms stretched out I think it lands right in his hands.

Tyler doesn't like this strategy. Throwing deep requires receivers time to get deep which requires our OL to hold them out while stone feet stands there waiting on the receivers. It could be a long day for Tyler if we do this.

Agreed, that was on Holloway, he still has to learn how to be a receiver but his

upside is good.

Yes, that was on Holloway. He slowed some and then tried. Dak threw it perfectly. That play was a big turning point in the game. We hit that we score. We didn't and we got the punt blocked with a safety. That was a 16 point swing.
