They’ve played a really tough schedule and played some really good teams close. Would really be good to get a win out of this but I’m not so sure. They took Vandy to overtime Wednesday night.

You’re not wrong, but I still (at the risk of sounding like I’m preshitting) think it’s going to be more devastating to lose this one than it will be elevating to win it. I just don’t think a win over this Memphis team is a springboard to respectability or a momentum builder to conference play.

The fact that it was mentioned on this podcast that 14 total wins would be a respectable finish to the season really tells you all you need to know about this bunch
