I really wish they would avoid doing it on SBW but this is the 2nd year in a row of them doing this. To me, SBW is supposed to be the spring homecoming and most people try to make Saturday and Sunday games. With a Th,Fri,Sat series - it only allows you one game to attend.

How many people actually go the Sunday game on Super Bulldog Weekend that wouldn't go the Sunday game anyway? Are the Sunday crowds that weekend any better than the usual Sunday crowds? And if someone wants to see 2 baseball games that weekend, why not just go to the Friday night and Saturday games?

I usually just made the Fri and Sat. The Sunday game is tough to enjoy knowing you have to travel back home and get ready for school and work the next day. I don't have a problem with it. I will actually take Fri off and catch all 3 games.

I was planning on agreeing with DS in the thought that Thurs night games are a hindrance of the event that is SBW, but the numbers disagree. Better actual attendance for the Thurs night game vs UT last year than we've had on a SB Sunday game for as far back as I can look easily(attendance archived in form of game notes on the State website).

Also not posted numerically, but looked at, it appears that the Sunday games of SBW don't have any marked increase in attendance vs normal Sunday SEC games. If there is any change, it is <1000 people... I would have argued against both of these points if I hadn't looked up the numbers for myself.

I like the idea of Thursday baseball on national TV. The Sunday games usually have equal attendance and no national exposure.
